I'm inspired to start painting my thousand sons again!!

Ah,
will I ever finish painting a single army!!!

Well, Dark Angels then Thousand Sons!!!
This makes it final!!!

The rhino is my favourite out of everything,
it's just so smoothly done,
the colours and quality of the added detail really make it memorable,

Very well done,
cannot wait to see the defiler.

Ok as promised, here are the pics:

here is the Ushabti with arms:

And i bought a fantasy model to represent a aspiring sorcerer:

i found an old Librarian and a dark angels sarge, i cut them in half for some rubrics:

And finally the NON knight-style defiler:

OK C&C are welcome

<3 across the board, particularly for the defiler. Great conversion, that one. Dig the legs on the 2 rubrics and the fantasy AS, spicing it up.

The ushabti prince, while definitely cool, strikes me as awfully "alien friend" (think ET) with the non-threatening pose and funky hand. BUT I like and would appreciate another angle of it, the low-angle shot I think is messing with me. And his non-threatening pose is clearly casting something spooky / weaving your doom type stuff, which I can dig.

Looks pretty darn cool, for a filthy traitor.

I gotta ask though... it is driving me nuts. What is the plastic thing on the wall behind the defiler? I have been staring at it for like 3 minutes, and can't come up with a damn thing.

Very cool looking so far.

@Wehrkind - I would assume it's a light switch and the knob is for either increasing or decreassing the brightness of the light.

More Netherlands madness, no wonder Tizz has gifted him with such powers. Sensored lights with cooking-range-esque rotary switches

Seriously, it is more crazy than my house full of "switches to nothing." Or possibly "switches to someone else's house." There is probably a poor old lady a few doors down who doesn't know why her bathroom light turns on and off periodically for no particular reason.

Thank you sir, without that unanswered question tearing at my sanity, I am far more comfortable reading your thread.

your army is sick. Blue has always been my favorite color to highlight.

Mate this is a great army, simple scheme and very well executed conversions, makes me want to try and do 1k sons for about the thrird time.

What it the scheme you have used for the 'yellow'?

Thanks for the shots, solid chop job on the genestealer arm. The dude looks to be leaning back a bit, though again I might just be crazy OR you meant for him to be doing thusly. Kinda like he's using the force to heft a blue & gold land raider out of the muck from where it rolled a 1 and got stuck ... :S

Nope, no land raiders for me, but your right, the model is leaning back, but its just the model, cant really do anything to it, but i like it as it is.

For some undecernable reason I really like the red barrel on the bolter

Another solid model, and I agree the pose is a nice "going for a 2D6-pick-the-highest stroll"

The leaning back on the ushabti-daemon is a _good_ thing! It goes well with the hand pose.

Infinity: Way, way better than 40K and more affordable to boot!

Awesome. Your style is very painterly. I dig it.

I especially like your palette choices. I know the Thousands Sons colors are already set, but I think the actual shades of blue and gold you went with work really well, and the colors you use on the weapons add great contrast that doesn't detract from the model.

Very cool.

I like.

I think you need a thinner brush to do another highlight on top of your highlights.

nah, i like it how it is now, if i would have highlighted it even more, then i almost have to use white, and that is just too much

That Ushabti is really coming along nicely. As he's a Monstrous Creature, what's the point of the Power-Halberd?

Very well done, and I be they look fantastic on the tabletop to boot! I have a question though: Are the red bolter barrels standard or just random?
