JaYkeH wrote:Nice guide, I may try it for my orks. Slightly OT but where did you get that foam? And is it the GW army case they fit in?
It' the standard Sabol (pluck) foam. They all fit in a standard Army Transport case from Sabol. Works for me, although I know there is better foam / storage out there.

Has anyone tried dipping with SM? I was thinking of using the black Minwax for the armor recesses and I was curious if anyone has tried it.

Instead of buying special paint, destroying an inoccent milk frother, and spending ages dipping and spinning, why not just use citadel washes, £2.50 from games workshop

@Jacknife: You mean to tell me that 100+ models can be done for $4 using washes? You must work for GW if you want to make that claim. Washing would take longer and would cost far more. You would need several pots to do 100 models. Washing with a brush takes longer than dipping and spinning.
Spending ages dipping and spinning? You sound like that info commercial that shows a women trying to chop a carrot with a regular knife and then the slap chop flashes over the screen...
Tired of chopping carrots the old fashion way!?
Excellent tutorial, anyone with half a brain will disregard Jacknife's comment.

I would really like to see how this would turn out on some Blood Angels. I hate painting with a passion and really need/want to get a finished army for tournys.
Has anyone used the dip method with an airbrush? I played eldar back in 4th/5th and used inks with an airbrush and it turned out really well. This, with the dip, would be an easy way to get those MC and vehicles. Trying to paint in on a rhino or even a stormraven would seem almost not worth the hassle.
