You know ... in APOC you could take an entire army of Barnabus Malgar, all attached together to form the Ultimate Deathstar of Deathstarness. And actually, it'd be pretty good with EW and 4+ inv, in addition to reroll-everything AP2 shooting and dozens of reroll-everything powerfist attacks

Y'know it's weird. I thought I was being a little OTT when, in our rules, I gave Pimp Master Calgar the ability to swing at Initiative with his Gauntlets, but only on the turn he charged (he would tired after that and go to normal Init 1).

But these rules are way better. I don't feel so bad about my ones now. Maybe I'll give him back that AV15 'Pimp Wagon' Land Raider...

And I think you're about the third person on this page to say that, proving beyond a doubt why the White Scars don't get rules as good as the Ultramarines - even with their bikes they're still slow.

Scyzantine Empire

This was a great way to start my long day at work!

HBMC, why don't you use the automatic cookie dispenser on those pimpin' MC gauntlets? And take it easy on the White Scars, they don't ride bikes cuz they want too, they just can't get a ride as bling-bling and pimpmaster MC...

And btw, Chuck Norris is the emperor and the clone that Chuck Norris made from himself to be not as powerful but extra (2x) more powerful than other spase mareinz (HURR!!!) with extra bling is noneother than Marneus Calgar (HURR!!)!

What harm can it do to find out? It's a question that left bruises down the centuries, even more than "It can't hurt if I only take one" and "It's all right if you only do it standing up." Terry Pratchett, Making Money

"Can a magician kill a man by magic?" Lord Wellington asked Strange. Strange frowned. He seemed to dislike the question. "I suppose a magician might," he admitted, "but a gentleman never could." Susanna Clarke Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell

Forever alone

It does say in Abbadon's codex entry that
Only the Daemon Primarchs wield as much power as Abbadon...

Or something like that. I doubt that MC has become as powerful as Abbadon through training or sheer chance. GW are stretching the fluff a bit here.

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.

I think the "power" referred to in Abbadon's Codex entry refers to his political power rather than his personal combat prowess.

Maybe you're right. Next codex Abbadon will get a demonically possessed pen for a weapon that he can use to wield his mighty political power!

Lets face it, Abbadon is no one's homeboy.

I doubt it. The primarchs could no doubt rally their god's legions and crush abby.

Not while Abaddon possesses the mighty BiC-Drach'nyen!

The ink from BiC-Drach'nyen is so powerful that it allows Abaddon to wield the political powers of Chaos like no other. The pen is so powerful that it never runs out of ink, for BiC-Drach'nyen cares not where the ink comes from, only that it flows freely onto the ever changing parchments of Chaos!

Truly with BiC-Drach'nyen at his disposal, Abaddon is the master of Chaos Politics.

He rally's the forces of Slaanesh with his masterful Caligraphy!
He rally's the forces of Khorne with ever flowing ink, and BiC-Drach'nyen can turn it into red ink on a 2+ !!
He rally's the forces of Tzeench with the ever changing parchments of Chaos that bear his orders!
And finally he rally's the forces of Nurgle with the slimey, deliberate, and persistent ink stains that BiC-Drach'nyen leaves in your shirt pocket if it is not appeased!

All shall fear 5th Edition Abaddon!

Marneus deserves to be pimped. He is, I believe, the first 40K special character to get a model, right?

Well what do you think happens if Abaddon gets a 1 on his Legislation roll when using BiC-Drach'nyen?

Surely all demonically possessed writing instruments must have some catastrophic affect if you roll a 1, it represents the fickle nature of Chaos!

think it was leman russ (plus his two wolves greki and freki) but might have been the yarrick/gazghkul combo. Course if you are looking at Epic then the demon primarchs probably win

It wasn't Marneus pimping Calgar anyway, though him sitting on the crapper with a raptor and bog-roll attendent was an early special character minature.

a man so hard he can take a crap in the middle of a battle, with a dinosaur watching, and get one of his soldiers to wipe his arse....

This just leads to a new line of Chaos special characters. Kharn, The Plagiarist, Ahriman, Proofreader of the Thousand Sons, Lucius the Secretary, Fabius Scribe, and Huron Inkheart. The most literate and vile fighting force of the 41st Millennium. Marneus Calgar and his oversized hands don't stand a chance.

Listen, if you use that logic, then shouldn't the Crimson Fists be getting a whole lot more love than they get?

i know you guys are slightly deviating from the actual rumoured rules, but i have to bring back the whole AP2 guns. i mean, it seems to me like a lot of the rules that have bee coming out recently are simply " this gun sucks cos it cant kill marines, so we best change them all to ap3/2". has anybody else noticed this (and GW seems to give very little reason as to why these weapons shoot like mini lascannons now).

And before anyone says im a hater cos these now go through power armor, i dont really care as i play the mighty flashlight army i just hope this is a downward slope for the game to come
