Eldrad is in every Eldar army at once, so why should Yarrick be any different?

Still though, I wouldn't be surprised if Yarrick got Eternal Warrior. GW has these lovely new special rules and they need to tack it on every army in order to showcase them.

With a Fearless rule. I bet Guard will get a pile of new characters ala the Space Marine guys.

Lets hope that Guard get free/cheap heavy weapons too!

Not really killed off but not usable in the game as it is. They are sometimes mentioned vaguely like other relics of times long gone. Games Workshop is keeping these things alive on the cheap for possible future use (my guess).

Inquisitors can still take digi-weapons in 40k and Inquisitor.

Jokaero were tech-savants, described IIRC as large orangutan-type creatures who had a natural disposition to fabricate amazing tech arcana. Jokaero digital weapons* were the most commonly referred to Jok constructs but this was not the limit of their abilities. In the WH40K 1st edition book, they had an entry but that was back in the days when races were presented in more of a 'Bestiary' fashion, as ideas and rules for GMs to make use of. They were low WS, S, T, rubbish in close combat but randomly awesome tech. Always makes me think of Tau...

Yeah, those first edition books are great. I've been collecting them over the last few years. I still have a few to get yet.

The current Marneus is the crap. Really only Tigurius gets used in a tourney setting, and even then it's in a specific army build.

I'm glad they revised him, and just giddy that I play Ultramarines. Hehe!

I'm gonna miss the pic of MARNEUS CALGAR!!! (pronounced with tongue stuck in bottom lip) on the front of the marine codex, about to perform the most devastating move known to man, THE CALGAR SMASH!!! with piles of marines ducking to avoid being squished inbetween to massive, frantically clapping ginormo hands. At least that's how I see it.

I hope as many Space Marine players field Marneus as the eldar players that field Eldrad.

HAHA, YES! There's definitely going to be some "Barneus Malgars" fighting for the Grey Plastic Legions, and a whole slew of new fanfiction about how Barneus is nothing at all like Marneus, he just happens to have the Unpainted Handgrips of the Emperor's Wrath and be like, totally buff. N' stuff.

Why not have Marneus in every battlefield, already Eldrad, Fateweaver, Snikrot, Mephiston is every other battle.

Maybe it's (unintentionally) indicative of the current state of 40K - they hate options and army variations so much that even the 'special' characters are always the same, with everyone taking the exact same one.

Calgar is only inferior to the Emperor because he can't wipe his own arse.

I know the Emperor can't either, but he has a large golden (japanese-made) toilet that does it for him and dumps his load in a warp portal.
