The models are nice, just because you gits don't like them doesn't mean that the world is ending. This is the same story all over again as with the Mukaali that FW did. They announced that they would do different mounts and everybody was happy, until the saw the Mukaali and went like a pack of slowed nerds on FW.

The Dread rocks, not so sure about the others. The Sorc is a bit underwhelming, and I agree with the other comments regarding the Nurgle Ogryns.
Still, always good to see more Nurgle models being produced...

Forgewolrd is calling them "Nurgle Plague Ogryns" though.
So while they might work better as Chaos Ogres of Nurgle (is there even such a thing now? Or soon to be, anymore?), they are allegedly 40K Plague Ogryns.
I think.

I thought the Mukaali looked great. Very natural appearance, a believable size (compared to Rough Riders horses) and a pleasingly original creature. I can't see them in a battlefield situation, but this shouldn't detract from the skill of the sculpt.
I believe the opposite is in effect here. I don't play Nurgle, but I'm sure Nurgle players would have been looking forward to these releases. In my opinion, to release models of this low a calibre, for such an integral army list, is a real insult to Death Guard players everywhere. Obviously it's a matter of taste, but the overriding consensus in that the look dire.
In the end, people will vote with their feet, and FW will learn their lesson.

Yeah, the Nurgle Ogryn really didn't turn out right.
But the Nurgle Dreadnought sure did! Of course, that's not surprising. Dreadnoughts are always badass models, and Nurgle models are always badass models, so a Nurgle Dreadnought, by Forgeworld no less, should be a really (x2) badass model. And this one did not disappoint.

"The last known instance of common sense happened at a GT. A player tried to use the 'common sense' argument vs. Mauleed to justify his turbo-boosted bikes getting a saving throw vs. Psycannons. The player's resulting psychic death scream erased common sense from the minds of 40k players everywhere. " - Ozymandias |

Well I'm a Death Guard collector and I for one im very happy with FW catalogue, what I'm trying to say is that even if these 3 ogryns are ugly you have received so much goodies, superb sculpts and convo kits that I do not feel insulted... by the contrary.

They just look like a weird combination of excrement and sludge, which I guess is Nurgle-appropriate, but they don't seem to have detail, the overall pustule-ness of the models simply disguises it.

Ditto.
We just got a fancy new Dreadnought sculpt. Once IA6 comes out I'll be picking both of them up along with some Power and Terminator Armour conversion kits to finish off my Death Guard. I couldn't be happier!

Sure, I love the FW Death Guard, and think the dreadnaught looks cool. What I'm trying to say is that the Nurgle range from FW has been of such a high standard so far - which makes it all the stranger that those other new models look so bad.
