I will update when I have my hands on it.
You can still cancel. Stores got their sample copy this week, if they ordered one. The actual tables for sale haven't been shipped yet.

Bloody GW. Their terrain is gorgeous, except for all the fecking skulls. My housemate could not believe how many were in the citadel wood, before you even added any of the optional skulls. So I got out the new ruins and counted the skulls on them. I don't even have one of them, because it had a whole feckin' wall of skulls. I'm not in the least bit suprised by all the skulls on this board.
Even with LOTR, you can see it. Most of the models were based on the designs from the film, but they added a couple of extra things like shamans, and they stick out like sore thumbs because they are skulltastic too.
I wonder if there is some sort of ratio of skulls to profit, the way there is with monkeys on comic book covers.

Here we see, dear viewers, the lush plains of Gorzak. This place is home to tribes of roaming bipeds known as "Orcs." What's queer is that they manage to survive in this inhospitable environment. For you see on the ground here are the beginnings of tiny patches of skulls. You can see them over there too - there's a well-formed one next to that hut. Nobody knows how these skulls grow, but they grow like weeds, devouring everything and becoming the base for human wizards seeking a new ashtray or pen-holder.

I'm having trouble believing flock will stay on with board rubbing inside bag during storage.

It seems pretty well designed, with those ribs for rigidity.
If you put cloth in between each piece it will help prevent flock loss. In my experience you can't 100% prevent flock coming off anything that gets used and handled.

Don't mind the skulls.
Board is nice, clips together tightly and easily, and is very sturdy when placed with a smaller table under it. Seems to do well on a kitchen table of close to the right size. It can take a bit of overhang all around.
I really think I might pick one up for around the house. Probably use the railroad textured paint for it. Probably stick a little better. For around here it would be useful as I just don't have the space to get a board to where I can play and back easily. This is a lot better and easier. About the same weight packed up as my backpack full of books. Not bad if you are willing to pay.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die. |

In the dark future there is only a nice soft imaginary reality with no real violence or disgusting stuff. There exists a war without bullets, where you can lose an entire army but all your models stay in pristene condition. in the dark future there are no skull pits there is no consequence to conflict and suffering... there is only....profit for GW lawers. *end of poem*

For 150GBP I want a whole table covered in skulls with giant skull hills and pits cut into the skulls, filled with skulls, and rivers of skulls (flowing in BLOOD! ), and trees that are skulls with skull leaves and skulls as buildings with doors whose handles are skulls.
THEN it would = grimdark...

Two board sections have multiple skull pits on them, one section has broken terrain with skulls in the cracks. The other three have dotted skulls here and there, with the odd skull filled crack.
None of the boards are skull free, though the amount of work to fillin cover over or remove skulls will vary from piece to piece.

I live in North Las Vegas, NV, the nearest GW is 300+ miles (LA Bunker if I remember right). I don't drive and live about 2 hours (or more) from any game stores (all 4 of the ones I have been in are very friendly and I would support in a minute if any were "local" ). Ironically, because of the way the buses and freeway run, the one furthest from me is the one I could get to the fastest.
