Oh I get out plenty. How else would I have accumulated so many figures? And don't worry, the collection is officially RIP. I don't have the money to keep adding to it anymore. That plus the one figure line I had been keeping up with lately has gotten canceled, so its the end of an era.

Im sorry to hear that, always sad when something you dig "dies".

What line was that then ?

fair play to you, it is a very impressive collection.

For drums? Rush's Neil Peart, Cryptopsy's Flo Mounier, and Metallica's Lars Ulrich.

I'd take a picture of my miniature room, but it doesn't exist. I have to keep my stuff in boxes and take them out and set them up every time I want to paint. I blame the wife for wanting a tidy home.... When we move next time, I'm going all out for a basement that I can claim in the rightful name of having my own cave to retreat to!

@reds8n:
I'd been collecting Marvel Legends lately. The line had changed manufacturers and undergone a lot of changes which caused a lot of collectors to drop it. Add to that the fact that the line has already covered pretty much every well know marvel character, and well their's not really much reason for it to exist anymore. But the final wave will give me the Black Bolt figure I've been wanting for ages, so I can't say I'm too upset.

I'm in the process of moving house so have nothing to show other than some boxes for now, but when we revisit this in a few months then I'll add some piccies. I just wanted to say that I love seeing dakka on computer screens in people's pictures as it really brings home that real people actually use dakka. There is something very fulfilling about seeing something I coded up in my uncomfortable chair on my dying laptop spread all around the world in rooms nicer than my own

Anuvver fing - when they do sumfing, they try to make it look like somfink else to confuse everybody. When one of them wants to lord it over the uvvers, 'e says "I'm very speshul so'z you gotta worship me", or "I know summink wot you lot don't know, so yer better lissen good". Da funny fing is, arf of 'em believe it and da over arf don't, so 'e 'as to hit 'em all anyway or run fer it.

yay, danke schön

On a related note to this thread, has anybody got any good sources of airtight (or dust resistant), tall, glass display cabinets, ideally in the UK? I need to get one for the few painted minis I have but the decent looking ones that they used to have at argos and ikea seem to have vanished.

That's a nice kit Karlfranz, especially if you've only been playing for a year and a half. Paiste and Yamaha have good stuff. It looks like you know how to read music too, that's excellent. If you don't have one already, pick up a good book of snare drum solos, it can help your chops and technique immensely. I was wondering though, why do you have your two rack toms so far apart?

Like I said, my hobby space right now is pretty minimal compares to what I'm used to, but here's a picture of my drum kit from last time I was in the studio. I used to use more stuff, but when I was with this band I adopted a bit more of a stripped-down setup.
