Akaiyou, what is your problem? Talk about thread derailing !!! Your posturing has done nothing for this topic or your point and your "voice of reason" defense of GTGU has probably done more to hurt them. In fact, your credibility as a voice worth listening to as opposed to someone who gets off on flaming and dissention is questionable at best.

Im confused about 2 things i have read in the previous GT threads.

1) Is GT going to continue back to buisness?

2) Is it true GT no longer have their GW account?
will they get it back?

1. No

2. Yes then no

Alright, so as I pointed out, my experience with GT, though a little drawn out, has all in all been fairly pleasant. I ended up settling for some items I wouldn't have otherwise... which I'm not complaining about, because now I find myself owning a land raider and a squad of terminators. Anyway, I'm only waiting on one model now, which is my space marine captain, and he e-mailed me last night saying it would ship out Monday. So, a bit of frustration, and I'm wondering if it was worth it for the extra 10% off. Probably not, but oh well.

Edit: Alright, so my ordering from GTGU was sketchy to say the least, not because of their services, but because it was the second time I had ordered any 40k product, and the first time I spent $300 on plastic/metal "toys". Now, I caught them right before the major melt-down, so they were still doing phone orders and being professional in their hours/support.

After that though, the threads started popping up. So I decided to take some initiative and I hounded him via e-mail a bit. I know that's not the kind of thing that people want to do, but anyone complaining that they are owed stuff and that it feels like a scam, they need to just get take the initiative and contact the guy.

I just received my 1k$ order from GT.

This is for me personally - as I expected, and just reporting to you guys.

Akaiyou - I agree - though I will just forewarn - as an administrator of another 40k site, mostly in any forum there is not democracy.
Or at least not the one that 'many' users tend to believe


I'm just going to put out that I haven't had bad service with GT, but he if he is truly bailing on you guys, I ask that you guys open up Paypal claims ASAP.

Well, I'm guessing not paying your bills would be reason #1.

BUT, in another thread, I believe Mikhaila detailed that you'd really, really have to go above and beyond to lose it this way.

Just to give you an idea, IF the item was truly shipped on the day it was specified to you.


For my packages - it is always 7 day fedex wait.

The actual shipping day is.. sometimes delayed.

well, the tracking number he gave me came up on the FedEx site as being up for delivery today. Was it actually shipped Friday like he said, or maybe Saturday? I honestly don't give a gak enough to dig around and either ask or look if it's on the truck and steamin for my house.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand that's a wrap. My wife just took delivery of the package, and verified the contents. Everything is there.

Overall impressions: The transaction went smoothly. Out of three emails that I sent that required responses, two of them recieved responses within 15 minutes. My material was shipped on time (he said he would ship it "last week", and it shipped then), and arrived the third working day of the next week. Any delay could very well have been due to a crippling snowstorm that shut the city down 2 days before the product arrived.
The procedure lacked a little polish, however the guy was running a firesale recovering from some personnel issues that sounded like significant obstacles to me. I think with time, should he continue in business, he will be able to refine and smooth any bumps in his process. Overall, I would have to give him solid marks. He did what I needed and paid for, he kept good comms, and I gotz my toyz. I would definitely order from him again.

Oh, for the record, I got a hold of GT Man, and he told me he shipped out the last model he owed me monday. It was out of box, so he said he put it in an brown envelope with bubble wrap and priority shipped it so no tracking number, but I'm expecting it sometime between today and friday.

Just got another email from GTGU in response to my thnk you letter to him. He says that he volunteered to have his GW account close, and it sounds like he has plans for keeping in busines in a "bigger and better" fashion. Not sure exactly what he means, but it sounds like he is planning a come-back.

Now, I know that some are going to make negative noises about Gorilla Tactics. That's fine; this is the internet and I have no way of knowing if they have legit gripes or not. From what I read here, it appears they do. However, when I develop my opinions, facts as I have experienced them take IMMENSE predcedent over internet forum postings. I am not taking anyone to task for posting their opinions. However, I will lay out the FACTS as I see them:
1. I ordered.
2. The product came quickly and was complete.
GTGU was well on it's way in a nose dive as far as dakka was concerned when I decided to "gamble" a little over 200 bucks of my own money to prove a point, whichever point it actually happened to be. I feel I have gotten my money's worth.

Received my last product from GTGU today. Arrived complete and intact.

Despite the leg work I've had nothing but positive interaction with Angelos and the team. I hope everything levels out for him.

I also got my order from him. I put my money where my mouth is and now I have a shiney new toy to play with.

Thank you GT.. you dealt with me and my anxiety well.. friendly communication is key for me.
