Read the whole warseer thread. There's talk of the Warlord (2012) and a Phantom Titan for an Eldar book (not on table yet).

Yes you did. Hand me the towel would you?

That'll be sweet in 2012, lol.

In the meantime, how am I supposed to NOT buy all of these cool ass things? Really, honestly, how?

I much prefer the FW model to that warmachine model, in fact I always hated the look of the warmachine one, and on the opposite side of the spectrum I really like this new FW one.

125 points for Plegm and Vomit on a BS2 AV12/11/10 platform when the Vendetta is +5 points for all the crap it gets? It's insulting, and typical for FW rules - overcosted and underpowered.

I will punch my monitor, and I guarantee you wherever you are you will feel it if you ever compare something unfavorably to the vendetta again. Thats like saying they aren't as awesome as some nine year olds apocalypse datasheet where he gets three baneblades for the price of a rhino.

Oh buzz off. I live in a world where the Vendetta doesn't exist because it's a stupid unnecessary concept. I can still discuss how FW rules are a load of gak, which they always are.

But be my guest - keep punching your monitor. With any luck you'll break your damned hands and we'll be blessed with a week or two you not being able to post...

In this case, it's not FW's fault as much as usual, but a case of GW pulling the rug under their feet by releasing a slowed Codex.

The supply does not get to make the demands.

Yeah, but your still noting that the non forge world unit entry (vendetta) is better than the forgeworld rules entry. Then you're stating that because the vendetta is so much better for only 5 more points forge world is underpowering things. Shouldn't it have a hell of a lot more to do with the fact that the vendetta is just idiotically underpriced? Compare it to something that bears comparison and supports your assertion, comparing it to the vendetta is like saying it's not fair that someones kid can't swim like Michael phelps.

It's an LCD, so I doubt that would really occur.

what is that slaughterer??? Or whatever its called??

is it a slaughter fiend?

like the one's from apoc reload??

cause they were a defiler (spider walker) with two close combat arms that had khorne helmets (THAT THING!)

so maybe they made an actual model for it...

like the brass scorpion??

since it kinda had a defiler rip-off model like the slaughter fiend...

if so...

get ready to see that thingy running across the field with a large swarm of khorne berzerkers to plow up any opposing front line!!

It's called a Blood Slaughterer. It's a new version of this model from RT/2nd Ed:

Read the whole warseer thread.

I'd rather not, the only thing Warseer is good for are those pictures. I could care less about what they have to say.

And can you imagine how much the warlord and phantom models would be? Better start saving now, you might have enough for it in 2012.

I just noticed that the khorne slaughter bug is armed with chainfist weapons in the same style of the brass scorpion. Both of these remind me of the hades breaching drill. I bet that in the third vraks book they will be the chaos counterploy in the underground war.

And the ork stuff coming up now...

I have sworn I will only make use of forgeworld only as inspiration for my own work.
I have sworn.
I have.

Had a great day, saw cool stuff, chatted with Simon Egan about the Chaos Reaver which is looking REAL nice.

Will have a load of internal detail as well! Suprised me that he sculpts in plastalene, which does not harden, but I suppose of your working on something to be made into a rubberised mould that works!

The wife adores the Nurgle Deamon Engine, which give me a guaranteed win for our aniversary :-)

Took a load of pictures of my own, but not going to bother uploading them as pretty much everything os BoLs! Go look there!

Have to say however always nice to see the spectacle of a really big gamming table kitted out with several thousand pounds worth of figures! The Siege of Vraks table is STUNNING!

My comments are my own, and mine own alone. If you have any complaints, please report to Mr Spanky who will take them down for you.....

The styling of the khorn engings is deliberatly derivative of each other, when the range is complete should look really nice and does alter the existing look rather from "Spiky Death Beast" to something a bit more scary! I didn't like the Brass Scorpion at first, but when seen with the others its growing on me! :-)

I think the chaos stuff is great looking and all but I don't think it looks "chaos." From the Brass Scorpion to the Slaughterer, the lines and curves are too un-chaos... like dark eldar more than "chaos." I just imagined these things to be more imperial derived than they've ended up.

The Blood Slaughterer is nice, not as nice as the Brass Scorpion and not really a Blood Slaughterer but nice all the same.

I like the ‘Hitler’s buzzsaw’ cultists too.

Something about the Nurgle robot flies doesn’t work for me, maybe they’ll grow on me.

I hear you on that sentiment. It feels like a corrupted tau thing. Awesome model, but once again I think its off-ish as to looking "chaos."

Funny, I like the Nurgle drones the best out of the lot. They have that utilitarian, less-OTT feel that one gets for the Chaos units in Dan Abnett books. The relative subtlety (when compared to the other Chaos stuff) and interesting biological-technological hybrid are really ace in my book. Actually, before I saw the label I was hoping it was a Dischord. Those things really need a FW model...

[Edit: I just reread aka_Mythos's post. Corruption is EXACTLY what a Chaos unit, especially a Nurgle one, should be aiming for. Things that are evolved or debased out of other things, not original and whole creations. I disagree about the Tauishness: it looks like an insect, which is very right. Again, it's all really Dan Abnett, whose books IMMO are the best exposition in print of what a Chaos-held world would be like.]

Anyways, all good stuff. This will be a good year for FW.

Oh, and the Rever looks SO much better Chaos-y. The proportions on the Imperial one are just awkward, but it works for Chaos. The beetle thing is just kind of throwback now.

Also I think they could make a good base for a defiler kit bash... hell it could almost be a defiler proxy.
