At first I was thinking "But why magnetize the void shields, do they really get in the way?".... But yes, brilliant! Saves paperwork, and looks totally cool.

This is an exellent project log. As for titan names, here are some from FW´s "Imperial Armour Six", these are all from Legio Astorum.

Praetorian (Lead titan of the battlegroup)
Tritus
Invigila Alpha (Destroyed)
Invigila Beta
Honorum (Withdrawn for repairs)
Invictorus
Incaeduus Prime
Aeacus Ultra
Astor Tyrannis
Questor Tyrannis

The cool thing about these, is that they are actually picttured in the book, including heraldry and banners, quite good stuff. Some of the remaining titans may have special stuff concerning them, but I didn´t want to read through it all just now.

Also: Princeps Rand Drauka was the lead titan Princeps in that particular conflict.

I've unpacked and looked at my Reaver, but I'm scared to know what parts I'm missing. From my dealings with my Warhound-I know FW is crap in replacing missing pieces (How much do they pay their sculptors that they can't afford someone to do some QA on the outgoing kits?)

I'll be putting together a new guide for the Reaver, I'm just spending some time working on my building and painting skills before I tackle that beast. I love that color scheme you used (from the frist release pics of the Reaver), but I want to really weather the hell out of mine. It's a tough choice since it looks so good either way.

Ok, so another update. Got the scroll-work done plus...I went ahead and magnetized the damn arm =p. My plan is this for the eventual dual powerfists I'll buy for it. Mount a screw into the ball portion of the arm with a nut in the arm-hinge on the main body. So basically the arm would have 3 parts;

The ball arm attached via a nut/bolt config----then a magnet to attach the gun. This way I can easily transport the beast plus accommodate the powerfist attachment (which doesn't attach via the ball arm). So, here is where it stands;

So, after several local 40k Tournaments (My Marines brought home another trophy! IE Free Speeder), I finally went back to work on my Reaver. Magnetized the arms and made everything modular for easy transportation. Finally got that last piece from FW for my Gatling Blaster....

I need to add the underbelly coils and I'm still debating on the power coils for the arms. Magnetize them as well....or say the hell with them? Dunno yet. Names are still welcome too! Haven't sold myself on one. Sorry for the quality of the pics, I need a tripod/better camera;

The magnetizing is a great idea.

Looks great, very clean. It sure breaks down into many pieces. I will be doing the same for mine, but is that the minimum piece count you were able to break it down to and still be functional?

Hey Jabba, thanks for the compliment. Can't decide if I'm going to dirty it up a bit or not....
I also need to upload new pics of it, I've added the tubing, etc.

RE: the breakdown of parts. I don't know if I would break it down much further than I have. Mostly, the parts I've broken it down into serve three purposes;

Ease of transport
Allowance to view the details inside the hull and cockpit
Possibility of buying different weapons (doubtful)

Anything beyond that would be overkill I think and actually make it more unstable once completed. I learned the hard way from my Warhound, secure the friggin' legs. I have a brass tube about the size of my pinky serving as a pin in the legs of this Titan!

I hope you own an airbrush!

Aye, I do but I found a Testors spraypaint called "Dark Blue" which, when I tested on a black primed surface, strongly resembles the dark blue scheme from the FW website. I bought a bottle of Createx light blue which I hope I can airbrush up a bit to give the surfaces a bit more depth. I'm not an airbrush expert by any means though!

You can decant this from the rattlecan.take a drinking straw and place one end in front of the paint nozzle and the other end going into one of those airbrush glass jars.(if you have a gravity brush,you can buy a siphon jar for about $3-4)
Then just spray the paint through the straw.
Let paint settle an hour so the propellant goes away and you do not even have to thin it,it is already the perfect consistency to spray.
It is an old scale modelers trick.
