eldar collected from 20yrs ago to present. and now that the harlequins are back ive now got 20+ harlis(without any of the new models) that i'd love to try out in a legal game.

I walked into the Gamesworkshop just to buy pieces for a chess set I was building. Before I know it, I bought a 500 pt Black Templar army. I only played with them for 2 games. I realized I enjoyed converting and painting them a lot more than playing with them. Since my first army was not that great of a paint job, I sold them at the last local Bizarre Bazarre. I now will only paint for competitions. I think of all the things I can do with an army - as in conversions - build and paint my ideas and then move on to the next army. Unless the competition catagories want something specific, then I will drop my current project and work on the competition entry. Just think when I get done with all my ideas, all the bitz I will have left. EBAY......

I have a huge Panzer division of Squats. I haven't played 40K in like 15 years and stopped when they got rid of them. It was really puzzling to me at the time because squats were heavy represented in Rogue Trader and the first few years of 40K. But soon it was all about the Ultra marines, Space Wolves, Salamanders (then Dark Angels) and Blood Angels and anything else that could be painted bright red, yellow or blue.

I miss the squats. Maybe they'll make a comeback...

Like him (only without the harlies - I gave them to a mate at the close of 2nd ed, keeping only the shuriken cannon death jester), my eldar date back 20 years or so (or more). The majority of my SM are likewise that old.

Eldar, SM, DH and WH and starting guard. Never played chaos, orks, bugs (of any stripe - they just never appealed) and WILL NEVER play or collect them.

CSM are just spikey marines who are evil for the sake of being spikey and evil.
Orks are still English (poosibly Dutch - those Juventus fans are insane) football hooligans - and I despise them.
Bugs are just icky. Giant space dinosaur cockroaches. With guns. And spikes. Yeah, right.

Not surprised by marines. BUt I must say IG and Orks surprised me. I really do not think the new IG dex was enough to cause band wagon hoppers like the ork one did.

Started off with Blood Angels, then went over to Chaos. They've both expanded greatly over the years and Chaos now includes Daemons and Lost and Damned. The next army I started after Chaos was Necrons, cos I wanted Xenos and wanted an army that'd be quick to assemble and paint, since I was focusing so much on converting Chaos minis. Finally, last year, I started Eldar.

I started off with Dark Eldar, Slaves for Cormmoragh! Then when the latest WFB rules came out I started Ogres, Blood for the MAW! Then when the latest Dark Angels came out I started them, and now play them as either DA or SM . . . Glory for the Emperor! . . . and now I'm thinking of starting a Daemons army =]

Tau and Chaos Daemons. I have more Tau then I care to admit, and my Daemon army is slowly coming together.

i have 50 orks & ghazgkull, i'm building a stompa, i have over 5,000 pts of sm's, 30 steel legionaires, a shadowsword, and 20 legion of the damned! (they may not be marines, after all)!

i also have tau, nids, and eldar, but i dont have the rules and nor do i want them.

I play Space Marines and recently started an Ork army.

They are both nice armies in my opinion, though space marines have gotten a little boring

I have a pair of armies, Tyranids and pure Grey Knights. Although I do have a handful of stormtroopers if I need points filler.

I can scrape up about 5-6K worth of bugs, and about 4.5K of Grey Knights.

Space Marines have been put on the back burner since starting Guard in March. (I did it for the armor) On the side I have a handful of SOB.

Its Ironic that Orks are the horde army but SM have the most players.
