Lukas - Not bad but I might try my hand at making my own version of him.

Canis - I want to turn my head in shame but like a horrid car wreck I can't seem to force my self to. He might be worth it for the fact that such an odd looking character in my army might throw off my opponent enough to win.

SW pack - Awesome...purely awesome. Might sell a couple of squads to get these.

SW Termies - I never got around to completing the ones I have so I won't feel bad getting these.

Over all a 8/10...this is how a revamped army is supposed to feel.

Those look, for the most part, really good. The first time I ever got my ass handed to me in a battle was against a SW player (and he was GOOD)
So in some weird way, Ive always liked them for that. Its about time they got a redo. I hope the codex has some cool stuff inside it for them.

Think I'll pre-order in my store. Looked at the codex today. They've made Devestators (Long Fangs) cheaper, with split fire. The 24" Psychic power everyones been talking about? You can have 4 Runepriests for that power in the same army, with jump packs.

I think I'm gonna make a terminator army with Land Raiders, with 4 runepriests in Termy armour. Could be pretty disgusting against hordes.

Edit: Oh and the models are gorgeous, not so much the Marines themselves (besides the wolf guards in there with TH/SS) but the terminators are some of the nicest models i've seen in a long time! Looks like my Wolves are getting a re-vamp!

I think most of the space wolves are a bit OTT. They remind me of those guys in high school- the ones who think the proof that they're free thinkers can be measured in the weight of Scandiavian metal band accessories they've got taped to their locker doors.

But that said, Njal is awesome. He is the only GW miniature I can think of that actually presents an appearance of the environment he is in without actually directly depicting that environment. He isn't just a good looking miniature, he actually sets the bar of the sculpting craft higher. Pity about Canis.

Bucket load of options and the chainswords are the double sided type similar to the CSM ones.

The only real complaint is that there are way to many heads, way to few embossed shoulder pads and they still insist on doing the 'long hair blowing in a wind tunnel' look on one of the heads.

I just hope the BA & BT sprues get redone like this, with extra heads & shoulders. If there were 25-30 total heads, 25-30 total shoulderpads, and 16 torsos, that would be awesome - each "tactical" box would build 10 dudes *and* take care of an extra Combat Squad, and Assault Squad, and a Devastator squad. Toss in a few vehicle icons, and you can handle 1 Dread and 1 Rhino per box as well.

Anyone know why the Battleforce isn't up? guessing it's not out till 2035...

EDIT: also does the wolf pack box mean it's finaly feasible for me to magnetise every limb on a tac marine?

Canis Wolfborn is a bit.. meh... the wolf looks a bit slowed.
Njal Stormcaller is pretty awesome... even though the vent a bit OVERBOARD with the grimdark on that bird!

So for a price of a box in which I get parts to make 10 marines, I can buy a different box which has all the same things plus more weapons, plus more arms, plus some extra bits that I may or may not use and 46 more heads on top of that all?

I like the wolf/norse concept but I believe they have taken a successful set of imagery and just gayed it with these models.

The marine and terminator box set is handy - you can probably wolferize 2-3 other squads with just one set. But if I wanted to make an army stand out with it's special characters... is that a shire horse that canis chappy is riding?

This is a fairly common occurrence with the british youth. My sister, for example, calls everyone and everything gay without a hint of malice or intolerance.

That term is very common amoungst Americans raised in the 80s and 90s as well.

Got mine ordered at my FLGS. I've been gathering SW stuff for a few months now and have some units ready but am waiting for the new fluff-heavy sets to finish off my GH and WG packs.
