Hey all. So..an issue that I have building an army, especially my wolves, is that..I want to make each an every one individual. This is partially...because...I just love to convert models and give them their own feel. Typically I convert the hell outta everything. This time..Im trying to do as few as possible..and when I do them..not so drastic. ( Excluding the ThunderWolves).
So..I think the little touches here, like repositioning a leg..or changing the axe...is enough.
Thanks for all the kind words and encouragement. Make me just wanna do more.

Hey there,
I love the look of the thunderwolf. Great converting there. I'd like to try this out, but first I was wondering what you used for the legs. Are they space marine biker legs? Or did you just reposition tactical marine legs to fit around the lion? I don't want to spend even more money on rider leg bits so I was hoping you just used tactical legs.
Thanks

I really love the direction you are taking these puppies! I wish I could look at other models and see the end result like you do to be able to make these spectacular models. I will definately be keeping an eye on this.

Hey again all. Ive been busy working on some other projects...so Ive been slow in replies and posting new stuff.
Lucas..I did use rider legs...cuz I had a set laying around. I am doing two more Thunder Wolves..so..in the next on..Ill be using tactical legs. You do not need to buy bike legs...however..you will need to able to work well with pinning, greenstuff...and patience.
Tekk-45, I really like to reposition things...it just gives a different feel to the models..and in the end...makes them more mine. You can also just position legs on a base or scenery differntly..and repose torso to give them the feel of added weight. Once again..alot of patience.
The real draw back is that my army comes together slower. However...I will be ecstatic with the way it looks as a whole. One more thing is that..all the work relaxes me. so....it makes it easier.
Thanks guys...Ill post more this Friday.

OKay..so Ive been away again...for far too long. I have been working on commissions and slowly working on my own. I need to get things in gear. So..I started and am trying to finish three of the 5 rhinos. Here there are...sorry for the pic quality...just throwing these up for progress. I really like the idea that packs and characters are individual in the SW army ..and I want to make the vehicles under the same concept.
My army is also being made as a siege army, from by parts of multiple Great companies. So you will see different pack and company marking on their vehicles as well. Fell free to post and give me feedback. Hopefully it wont make me repaint anything! lol Thanks all

Fantastic work, Kjel... especially on the new rhino. I like how the three different rhinos convey their pack's individuality... something that the wolves seem to thrive on more than any other marine chapter.
Can't wait to catch them in person.

"Straight Fething Silver" Tanith first and only
I have a reputation, Modile, a reputation as a fair, honest man who treats his soldiers well and supports them in the face of darkness. Potentially, that reputation makes me soft. It seems I understand failure and forgive it. Some, like Kowle, believe me to be a weak commissar, not prepared to take the action my rank demands. Not prepared to enforce field discipline where I see it failing. I am an Imperial commissar. I will enflame the weak, support the wavering, guide the lost. I will be all things to all men who need me. But I will also punish without hesitation the weak, the incompetent, and the treasonous.
I am a Commissar. I am empowered to deliver justice wherever I see it lacking. I am empowered to punish cowardice. I am granted the gift of total authority to judge, in the name of the Emperor, on the field of combat.

So...its been far too long since I posted anything. I have done alot that never made it to the boards. Im gonna restart with a few things I did a few days ago.
The first is a Wolf Guard with a plasma pistol and chainsword. He is part of the Wolf Lord's personal pack.
Then I have my newest standard bearer Grey Hunter. I decided he would be wearing a helm as described in the Prospero burns book and carries an old axe for a CC and wears gloves like they may have done when he first became a Space Wolf so long ago. This guy is probably old school and goes without his normal Power Armor helm in battle.
Then the last is three objective markers for my army. You will notice that my Wolf Lord carries a large spear. The idea is that before battle he throws the spears out into the field to mark the areas he wants his packs to converge on.
