These are turning out so awesome.

For my two cents on this newest one, I'd say lay a heavy squig theme on it, with a grot pilot.

Well, I liked the grot idea. I do not have but a couple so this is what I am gonna go with.
He is just sitting there for now though.

Don't be surprised or offended if you see ridiculously similar pneumatic plasticard work on my thread. Those legs are awesome!

CHICKEN DREAD!!!! Great work on all those kans. I have to admit i was a little unsure of the popsicle sticks and whatnot before the paint but they look fantastic. The crabby legs on the kans looks a million times better than the GW ones. Keep on keepin on!

Then it comes to be that the soothing light at the end of your tunnel, its just a freight train coming your way!

Really cool stuff. I have a set of 3 kans coming up after I figure out how to do the legs. Your project log is helping me fill in some gaps in my ideas. Great stuff. Thanks for posting.

It kinda funny but that head looks way too big in this pic but it looks perfect siting on the table.

and just a fast shot of the back and the start of cabling.

Hmmm.... not a fan of the new pose... But I guess I imagine an ork dread kinda slowly, clumsily stomping around, not deftly jumping hurdles

THAT IS FREAKING AWESOME!!!

You are a very talented guy. I like that new pose, even though it is a little OTT. I would keep it that way, and yes, give that sucker red paint for sure!

Great job mate, I hope you continue to bring us awesome modeling goodness.

Are you going to be adding the weapons back on?

I couldn't really get a full view of them in the last pic, but the chopper-blade one looked pretty cool.

It could use something to represent the weapons of a dread, but I am not sure how you would go about doing that with this pose. Is it fully adjustable? It would be a shame to lose that awesome pose though.

The grot is a fantastic addition to the model.

The arms will be put back on later. They sit in the holes in the bottom section. I am leaving them off for ease purposes atm.

I am trying to think of how to add some rokkits or a burna to it now. Grot has the Big shoota taken care of.

I want to say Fire Breathing Chicken dread, but I can't see how that would work. You could mount a fuel tank behind the arms' mount and sling the scorcha under it's belly.
Gak was the noise I made- very gleefully made, when I saw the last photo. So awesome!

Here is the latest upgrades.

I am planning a skorcha under the bottom.
You can see the start of it with the tanks on the side.

I am kinda stumped for the time. The skorcha under the bottom just aint gonna happen.
No matter what I do it does not look right.

I cant seem to get another weapon on this thing and make it look right.

I am probably gonna have to go with Rokkits but I was not wanting use them on this fella.

Hav you considered adding a rokkit pack from the stormboyz somewhere for the missile launcher? If you added a pack to each forearm, that would give you plenty of dakka. Alternatively, you could give him two big shootas by doubling the grot-manned one. A skorcha would sit well on a cc arm too IMO (cfr. the spess mareen one), or on the dreads left side, right above the leg.

A Squeaky Waaagh!!

the more I think about it I may just go with a dual big shoota since the one the grot is manning is a double barreled one.

I am tinkering with a flamer on the right shoulder but it seems too much.

Is too much ever too much with da orks?

Got to agree with Commissar Khaines comment about guns on the arms seem the best way to go to me.

Nice!

Looks like a good paint job, and the pile of tank traps make a good hurdle.
