That's awesome! I love the little greenstuffed detailing, especially the stuff on the front hatch.

Feasting on the souls of unworthy opponents

I think that if I owned this model, it would get its own case (one of the small GW cases) and would be transported by itself. And if I were playing in an army with multiple land raiders, if you killed this one, I would remove a different one and put this one in its place. And if my opponent managed to kill it or my last land raider, I would simply refuse to remove it from the table, claiming that their firepower isn't nearly cool enough to kill this land raider.

In fact...

Your paintjob is so awesome that I expect nothing less than the Emperor of Mankind and Jesus Christ himself locked arm in arm to skip out of the lowered assault ramps to lay smite your enemies.

Truely, that is one of the best land raiders I've ever seen. Definitely worth every minute you put into it.

If I had skills like that I would never battle again. I would just paint a picture of my army winning so beautiful my opponent would weep from jealousy and forfeit.

In the embrace of the great Nurgle, I am no longer afraid, for with His pestilential favour I have become that which I once most feared: Death.

No extra cases over for me.

But the rest, thats what I´m in fact doing
Although my opponents never let me win, quite the opposite, when that wagon is on the table everyone wants to kill it out of fun and spite, hehe.

Fan-freakin'-tastic! Absolutely stunning. I've always had a great love of landraiders and this is now definitely one of my favorites.

Would you be willing to share your secret on how you got the wire in your doors to fit into the chassis? I'm planning on doing the same on my upcoming tanks and would really like not to botch it up.

You know, sadly enough you might be right here. Except for my very best friends nobody ever commented on that raider on the tabletop, ever. As soon as it hits the table people I play against become all silent, not smiling, not even caring about any of the effort I put into my army as a whole.
A weird feeling, kinda gives me a guilt feeling of ever having painted my army with any kind of care what so ever.

Well, to be honest I dont remember since it was some time ago now.
But I used a mini drill to drill a hole right through all the plastic hinges and a thin copper paper clip straightened out as the pin going through the hinges.
I think its seen in some of the green pics even.

Then angling the ends so that they go right into the raiders hull and out through the first outer shell. Greenstuff is used to cover the ugly holes in the LRs hull and the whole trich of this was to keep altering the angles and positioning of the pin so that finally the door could open and close properly and the pivot point got exactly where it allows the door to open without the hinges moving the door up or down so it gets stuck.

If you want to make it openable make sure you know your way around basic greenstuff first since you will be carving bigger and bigger holes and altering the pins positions and this must all be covered up in the end.
