Hi all.
Here is a Land Raider I cooked up some time ago.
There is greenstuff everywhere, the added GS weight is considerable.

I hinged all doors so everything it able to be opened and closed and the interior is fully painted.
Also sculpted up some custom doors as well as front plate for this one.

And yes, all the scales everywhere are made in greenstuff.
Strangely enough my favorite piece is the multimelta nozzle, dunno why though.

Here are construction and finished pics:

Hope you like it.
The next step is to magnetize the weapon sponsons so they can be interchangable.

The next one is slowly being built and I aim for a total of five.

Fantastically painted! Thats 1st class blending!

The scales and door sculpting is also of really high quality- the only bit thats slightly off is the marines shoulderpad, but thats forgivable.

Runnin up on ya.

I hate you, but that's just because I'm jealous.

Six mistakes mankind keeps making century after century: Believing that personal gain is made by crushing others; Worrying about things that cannot be changed or corrected; Insisting that a thing is impossible because we cannot accomplish it; Refusing to set aside trivial preferences; Neglecting development and refinement of the mind; Attempting to compel others to believe and live as we do

Feasting on the souls of unworthy opponents

This forum is usually full of half-built models, questions, bad paint jobs...

But the posts like this make wading through the junk completely worthwhile to see such a spectacular display of someone's artistic ability.

Be proud of what you've created; you deserve it.

thanks guys, happy you like it.
I will probably post a LR thread later on about ideas for a super nifty grey knight LR sculpting project. I want to do something awesome for my GKs but I am totally out of ideas.

Well, I tried to bring a mini once (not shown in my gallery, will post it later), wrapped it up in foam but the airport personel told me the wrapped thing was to big to be allowed as hand luggage.
Its so ridiculous I still cant get over it.

Thus I dont dare try flying with the raider, dont want to turn around at the gate.

Oh...your...god...

It's people like you with all your amazing work that discourage me from ever sculpting haha

So, how long did it take?

If you need me, I'll be busy wiping the layers of dust off my dice.

It took about a month to sculpt and paint with several hours of work put into it daily.
The thing was also the source of some very colourful cursings and insane blood pressure moments of mine.

After painting the metal hurricane bolters (I hate them), I tried to assemble them and only realise I screwed up somewhere where they didnt fit into the sponson, some of the ammo feeds were upside down apparently.
So I had to redo the whole thing again and again, realised it still doesnt fit since the metal is poorly cast and needed to be recut.
I was so enraged by then I wanted to put the damned thing in my owen and watch it melt but I gritted my teeth, glued the things together one more time and didnt care about positioning, just used brute force and a knife to make sure the damned parts fitted together and fitted into the sponson assembly and by the third time it worked.

Who said violence never solved anything

And after its completion I didnt touch greenstuff for months, I was so very very fed up with slaces and greenstuff I almost had nightmares about it but I guess now afterwards I get a laugh from the experience and realize it might even have been worth it.

Later on I will also ask you guys for some needed help on my next LR projects a I´m totally out of ideas.

Futurama FTW.

I see things like this as a reason to learn to sculpt better. Inspiring is what this is.
