Well we've seen shots of the 40K bits for it, and the head on that looked ok.

Perhaps they are making sure they sell enough back stock of the existing metal 40k DP first.

That's probably because it IS a WHFB Daemon Prince.

Square base and everything!

who cares>? its a DP, a DP is a DP no matter, just switch the base.

personally i use the belakor model as my DP. yes its fantasy and a mini with no special rules but its a hulluva model and DP's dont all wear ugly power armor in 40k, not ALL Dp's were once spiky marines.

If they wanted you to buy the model they would have given him mad rules/stats, like WHFB flesh hounds.

But they made WHFB Daemon Princes suckful, so noone needs to buy the model.

My point was, don't complain about a model that is OBVIOUSLY a WFB model (as evidenced by the square bases in the photos) looking like a WFB model and not a 40k one.

I doubt its going to be released and i'm doubting it even exists, its not economical to make plastic Daemon Princes.

I think these models look sick. Are you really happy with the ugly metal one they got now?

The Catachans are also like 10 years old. Yes, they're crappy plastic, but it's one of the original plastic kits too.

I'm impressed you think someone would go to all the trouble to mocking up a model, display it with minor conversions here and there in several books...

The model obviously does exist, Imo it will be released in may or august.

Hey, I love my 'roided out action stars. They're the core of my Imperial Guard army. They're also models from 1997 if I recall correctly? It's the same time the current Space Marines came out, and they aged far better than the Catachans. Even so, the Catachans aged better than anything Gary Morley ever sculpted. Believe it or not, those Catachans are a joint effort between Michael Perry, Alan Perry, and Jes Goodwin. Yes, I find that hilarious.

I think it's a cool model. I would buy this and slap on some bits from my Nurgle Daemon Prince that is still in box form.

The new plastic Space Rambos look a lot better. Less tumor arms and more toned muscles.

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.

If I remember correctly GW does have a Sh*t load of models to be released (I remember seeing new dragon kits and stuff as such still to be released)

and they changed how they release models. In 6th edition everything got released in like one month of release but as soon as 7th Edition came out it seems they want to release everything in waves at random times (Look at the Orcs and Goblins, I mean I knew they were going to release Azhag about a year before the model actually was released and now in may theres another release wave of O&G)

They really need to get this guy out there. Its the #1 HQ choice for CSM lists and the old metal lumps are ugly (in my opinion at least). Plus I'm tired of having to hunt for wings for something that always has to take them.
I'd be very happy with something half as good as the Possessed Marines model.

If GW would revamp the Catachan infantry models to be similar to the new command and heavy weapon teams, I would be building a Catachan army. And really, it's not even the sprue that's bad. The legs and ammo pouches and knives - they're just fine.
