wow, thanks for the kind words mate

I've thrown each of them up on CMON, http://coolminiornot.com/247967 and http://coolminiornot.com/247966 figured it would be a bit of a laugh!

davedelasoul, are you in Wellington? We've got a Green Parrot here, Winston Peters used to eat there all the time until he was finally thrown out of parliment

So anyway, back to your normal program.

So 4 out of the 5 of us (unfortunately Bryn is away) will be painting tomorrow at Charlie's place, so as he has a good light box for photos, expect some more pics soon, some non F'n yellow ones aye Charlie?

I need help in deciding what arms to put on my warriors, thought you guys could give me ya thoughts!

Options for Bone Swords:

or these:

And for Lash Whips (both of these whips will be able to be bent):

or these:

Option 2 of each choice will look like this:

Please let me know what ya think! Cheers.

OH-I Wanna get out of here

Either bone sword is nifty, but I like the chapterhouse whip more. The other one seems more like tenticle-ish

@Mechanicus guy - nice work with employing the FW book tips. That masking and weathering looks great. Nice red tones.

@Space Wolf guy. Focusing some more effort on the base after dipping the model could make a huge difference. Get some of them there pre-sculpted resin bases or make some cork ones to put them on and give them a paintjob that nicely contrasts the colors on the models.

@Harlequin guy. Might even want to wait to try diamonds, hearts, spades, whatever until you lay down all basecoats on the models. See how they look when that is done and then try some patterns after everything is done for the challenge. Focus on doing some nice smooth basecoats and nice-looking gold and silver metallics first.

Very interesting project - good luck!

I'd go with the 2nd set of Boneswords and the first set of Lashwhips myself by the way.

"But me no buts! Our comrades get hurt. Our friends die. Falkenburg is a knight who swore an oath to serve the church and to defend the weak. He'd be the first to tell you to stop puling and start planning. Because what we are doing-at risk to ourselves-is what we have sworn to do. The West relies on us. It is a risk we take with pride. It is an oath we honour. Even when some soft southern burgher mutters about us, we know the reason he sleeps soft and comfortable, why his wife is able to complain about the price of cabbages as her most serious problem and why his children dare to throw dung and yell "Knot" when we pass. It's because we are what we are. For all our faults we stand for law and light.

If you think your important, in the great scheme of things. Do the water test.

Put your hands in a bucket of warm water,
then pull them out fast. The size of the hole shows how important you are.
I think we should roll some dice, to see if we should roll some dice, To decide if all this dice rolling is good for the game.

If you decide on this punishment, remember to not mix it with alcohol, cause you will get really, really, REALLY sick, even fatal (I think) if the alcohol is strong enough.

Loving the progress so far, can't get enough of the trygon xD

Well, nice job pulling it together, boys. I see that you have more painting to do, but everything you've posted up so far is MINT. Keep up the good work - the painting nights or whatever you're doing are clearly working. Who knows? You may have completely painted armies yet.

My Tyranid Prime.

He has Scything Talons at the moment, but am waiting for my delivery of Bone Swords to arrive. I think the plane may have flown in to the volcano!

Used bits from the Trygon kit, i.e. chest piece, spiky bits and maw.
Still some mould lines on there, but they will be fixed

Let me know if ya like it / hate it.

Nice job with the prime, my only slight niggle is that he looks a bit too busy, as if you had a whole box of spikes that you just had to get on the model. Quite intimidating though.
