I am not sure if I will be buying any more GW for a while but if I do it will certainly come from Wayland or Maelstrom in the UK. Nothing in North America can be justified as far as I am concerned. My hard earned money gets spent with discretion too.

Dunno, but I know that's what they are on the site now.

Yeah,I think the US battlewagon went up too. It now holds the record for most expensive non-apoc kit.
62 dollars! I could've sworn it was in the standard 55$-57.75$category(monoliths,defilers,land raiders)

Well, here in Canada a Land Raider costs me 75$+taxes (15%) so roughly 86$. Ordered from the UK, it's roughly 55$ shipped to my door (usually within 10 days).
GW are idiots... If it weren't that they make the only really complete miniature sci-fi wargame, I'd ditch them. Unfortunately for my wallet, no other company comes even close to the range, quality and fluff of the models. Now if the marketing, finance and game development divisions could get their heads out of their backside...

I can imagine why GW is hiking up the prices of orks. They've got to balance out the affordability of BA.
You might not agree, but I happen to think Blood angel are quite a bargain, for the quality of the miniatures. I've never seen a marine kit better than the sanguinary Guard. Those have to be some of the best models they make.

They were $57.75 like the Land Raider(s) and Defiler. It seems everything that was at the $57.75 price point is now $62 US.

OH S***, you're right! Every 57.75 model is 62 now. WTF? That's almost a five dollar increase!

WAIT FORGET THAT!!!! EVERYTHING GOT A PRICE HIKE!!! NOOOOO, the perfect trinity of the 35$ troop choice is gone!
Even the tactical squad is now 37.75 !!!! I've gotta pay that much???how dare they??
Okay, sent a polite message to customer service, haha, here read it:
Is there a real reason that almost every plastic kit you make has gone up in price? I usually set my budget around the "standard" price of a kit, and you've basically ruined it by making the sets have odd prices. $37.75 for a unit of Chaos Space Marines? Really? It's much easier to figure out 35$ than that.... Are you guys losing money or something? This price hike has a little excessive, to be honest. This is the kind of business that your customers dislike so much, don't you listen to us?

Yea, because Customer Service is really responsible for the price hikes. I work in the retail business myself, though it's auto parts rather than plastic men for me. And to be brutally honest, I can tell you from experience -exactly- what they're going to think of that message (and how much effort - or lack thereof that they'll make to reply), but I prefer being able to post on Dakka.
Long story short, they're going to roll their eyes at you as nothing more than another pissed-off teenager. Honestly, getting mad at customer service for something that isn't up to them makes about as much sense as kicking your dog because your cat crapped on your couch, for example.

I heard about the price increase a few days before it hit. I needed either a 5e 40k rulebook, or the AOBR set as it has a condensed version in it. I heard the AOBR was going up to 120, so I bought it for 81 on the 30th of May. It's now gone up to 108 (not quite the 120 that was expected, but still much more expensive.)

Alot of items have gone up for everyone, and it seems pretty random in what they increaced.
For example: Greater daemons and soulgrinders were both £35.
Daemons are still £35, but grinders are now £37.50
Fiends: £12 - £13.50
Beast of nurgle: £12 - £15
Flamers: £12 - £15 (was going to buy 12 this week, guess not from them now)
Plastic daemon box's went from £12 - £15
plague command went up £2 too.
Nurglings went up a whole £0.50
Takes the piss if you ask me.
Dont see why they keep going with the price hikes but other nothing new.
If they started a promotional offer or something like that it might bring in more buisness.
But as it stands now, maelstrom games all the way

I bet you the price hikes are due to the supposed up-coming release of the Dark Eldar this summer. You know, the DE that they didn't want to release sooner because they weren't sure if they'd sell, on account of no one buying the outdated DE rulebook and horrendously ugly pieces of plastic turd that passed as their minis range. That couldn't be why they didn't sell. No, it must just be because the players want them utterly gone. GW would -never- apply circular logic to their marketing strategies . That's my guess as to why they're jacking prices. Because they're afraid the DE will sell poorly.

Meh, all they have to do is release a book with a few strong power builds.
In step the tournie gamers, ugly models or not, they will win.
But i say bring back skullz
Or atleast some form of offer for regular customers.
Some people have been buying from them since the beginning, and they still get nothing.
But yea, thats GW's typical gakky logic towards everyone.
On a better note, need to get this LoC finished :(

Also glad I grabbed my Space Puppy codex before June 1st. Codex's appear to have gone up 4.75 each. Also, I could be crazy, but I think the 5e Rulebook actually had a price decrease of .75 lol! It was 69.99 when I checked last IIRC and now its listed at 69.25.

How is chewing out a Customer Service agent that really doesn't know (or care) what things are priced at going to amount to 'doing something'? Isn't the end result going to be the same either way? That previously $70.00 kit is still going to be $110.00, regardless of whether 1 or 100 people chewed out that agent. Prices will probably stay up until GW realizes that their DE fears were quite unfounded. If you're going to get pissed at a company, at least get pissed at the proper levels of command.

Um,okay, dude. Just take it easy there.
I seriously doubt GW cares that much about a DE release (if there is one anyway), and most likely is just poking fun with us. They'll probably make significantly larger profits in the long run of this price hike, so I doubt they'll lower it back down.
