I don't need to see actual headwings, but I think some painted ones on the helmet would help. The helmet/head area looks unfinished without them.

I think that surrounded by the right actors and filmed the right way, he'll look plenty big. Besides, I'll take someone who can actually act over some roid-freak wrestler, etc. any day.

The dudes huge, it's just a very bulky suit. The bulk is it's biggest weakness, thor as a character needs something more form fitting in order to display that fact that he is the norse god of strength and lightning and hammers.

It is, obviously, little more than a puff piece but if you follow the link you'll get a glimpse of some of the sets, Hopkins in costume and.. is that Loki maybe ?

Thor.....Norwegian H*m*. See Hancock..

Have always loved Cap. Drugs + Wimp = Americas Greatest Soldier. I even watch the end of a certain sad Disguise Movie to get a flying, ricocheing Shield action fix..

Have been reading Cap for about 20 years now. A Movie will do him justice, in these CGI crazed days we live in....

..Thor...you know... that.. is alright IMO. I'm surprised, and pleased, that they've tied it in so closely to Iron man 2 and the rest of the films, bodes well for The Avengers.

I've been fooled by trailers before, but I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised too.

I think I caught shots of Sif, Balder and Heimdall in there. And helmets...yay!

Came across the trailer via another route. Everything ok until Odin appeared. Who the hell decided to portray him as some kind of whining wimp. This is the father of the Norse gods for crying out loud, his weaknesses should be arrogance and overconfidence. Not prattling on about managing to keep the peace in a whining voice.

His presence should radiate power, awe and fear, not make you feel that you are in the presence of a Jarl hanging on to his power.

Live your life that the fear of death can never enter your heart. Trouble no one about his religion. Respect others in their views and demand that they respect yours. Love your life, perfect your life. Beautify all things in your life. Seek to make your life long and of service to your people. When your time comes to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song, and die like a hero going home.

Not Shield as in a man holding a shield, but a SHIELD agent.

Amidst the mists and coldest frosts he thrusts his fists against the posts and still insists he sees the ghosts.

Thank you reds8n!

The trailer is still there - and it is WAY better than I thought it would be!

Give me hope for THE AVENGERS (even without Emma Peel - ha ha!) and for Captain America too - which has been described as Saving Private Ryan by way of Raiders of the Lost Ark - with superheroes too, of course!

I forgot about SHIELD agents. So yes, both make an appearance.

Much better than I expected. Still not a fan of the Thor costume, but the overall look of the movie is quite good. Indeed, the general aesthetic goes a long way to justifying the casting of Thor.

Life does not cease to be funny when people die any more than it ceases to be serious when people laugh.

Is there a new Captain America trailer - the stuff that was shown at COMIC-CON 2010, or am I imagining that, and there was nothing at San Diego?

Meh... Looked ok I guess.

But most of my well-loved super hero movie annoy me for all the small missed details, or the large wrong sections.
Also I agree with Odin acting wimpy.

Colour me cautiously optimistic. Thor is one of the Marvel Universe's powerhouses, so it'll be interesting to see that on the big screen.

Hulk was toned down from the comics, but he was still pretty impressive, power wise. If they manage something close to that with Thor I'll be happy.
