I picture him getting shot up by some sort of defense turret on his decent down to the party. This of course, only makes him mad and hungry for the biomass required to begin regenerating. The conversion involved a distressed pair of fell beast wings and a gashed up carnifex head.

I love the purple/black color changing paint job. It's what I would have wanted to do for this army if I had known how. I had "Aliens" in mind. I wonder if some shiny varnish would help...

That is almost exactly the carapace scheme I planned for my WIP Trygon (only difference is the dark/light colors are inverted; light inside, dark outside) I really like yours. Very nice blending on the carapace.

@muffinlove: Great work so far. One piece of advice though; I noticed a few mold lines on the 'fex and the gaunt. Getting rid of those can really help the look of the model. Other than that, keep up the good work!

big thx m8, and that is so true about the mold lines, that was a big miss from me will keep that in mind for all the other models to come out.

Well, I haven't finished everything yet, but I wanted to contribute, so here is just a handful of my icebugs. I'll post more when (if?) I ever get them all done. I still have to base the snow, but other than that these are done.

Hey, do any of you guys know how to get a really good hive fleet kraken look? Mine is too bright. Take a look:

I'm fresh out pf ogryn flesh, so that's why it's so flat looking. Still, kraken flesh is more of a yellow-ish color.

Samus, from the 3rd edition Tyranid Codex the final coat they used is bleached bone in their tutorial. I use the same method for my Tyranids.

you have to paint them in bleached bone after that you need to put on a havey brown wash. and dont be shy on that part, do that and they will look a lot better.
