Armorcast had it on the pics on their site that they were cast from licensed Hirst Arts molds.
Its not like they were hiding it.

Yes, but it is quite easy to say you are licensed without actually being licensed. Since they were not listed as licensed resellers on the hirstarts.com site, I felt it best to contact Bruce and verify.

There is no issue (that I'm aware of) with Litko products. There's a long-running forum gag that tends to over-run threads if left to its own devices. Just do a search for Litko on the boards and I'm sure you'll turn it up if you're really interested. Or just read the first 12 posts of this thread a dozen or so times, and you'll get the general gist of it.
Meanwhile: Armorcast thread.

vwolf: it's pretty well what insaniak said, but to go into a little more detail, people tend to start asking about litko, what they make, do they make space towers or industrial corridors, and begin to flop about with it in paroxysms such as only can be found on the interdweebs. we do it because it amuses us, and occassionally someone comes up with a new variation on the theme that induces fairly wide-spread hilarity.
My personal favorite is when people start wailing about needing SOMEON, ANYONE out there that would make industrial towers and space corridors for their toy soldier games.
It is us mocking ourselves, the internet, and eachother all at the same time. And finding the results of the mass-mocking to be hysterical.

From a purly practical standpoint, those tiles are pretty useless as they add almost nothing to the game that isn't aesthetic. They're still awesome, just not very useful. Now, if you were to make a system that was multi leveled however, that would be cool and useful. That is in fact what I expected to see when I clicked on the thread, which would have lead in to me asking whether since 3D space corridors are now made, whether any plans are in the works for 2D industrial towers. However, I will not do that as it would make slightly less sense (and, having now seen the warning, I will refrain from doing so in the future) Still, aside from that, those corridors do look really cool. I particularly like the doors. Some of the other stuff on that site is also extremely cool.

The litko space corridors, were a great idea when Space Hulk hadn't been available for a while. I also think they'd be great for anyone who wanted to build a truly 3D terrain set, adding walls and tiered levels, and wanted the rooms and halls to still interlock.

Coming closest to approximating the contents of Space Hulk you would need two of the basic kits, and a number of extra doors. There are number of tiles their sets doesn't replicate. It would be about $200 initially and probably another $40-50 more to approximate the missing tiles.
Based on the approximate density of the resin (can vary with casting), ~.034 lbs/in^3, based on a piece I have here... and the approximate volume of their tiles, 1 in^3 per in^2, approx 225in^3 Which makes my estimate around 7-8lbs.

the entire armorcast crew is on it's way to GenCon as we speak. I'll talk to them when they get back, and try to get some answers. I've been asking it since Adepticon when we premiered the tiles.
Somebody should poke Yak, because he ran the Space Hulk tournie at Adepticon, and I painted a complete set of tiles for it. There should be pictures somewhere.

He asked for tiles, not walls, but you're probably right, since for evey "square" you'd have twice as much material standing upright as walls.

Seems best to fit here:
Z-Man Games ( http://www.zmangames.com/ ) is about to release a Space Hulk-like game called "Earth Reborn". Developed by Christophe Boelinger of Dungeon Twister fame. Setting is post-apocalyptic with men fighting something like Zombies. Has miniatures and terrain tiles and scenarios. Don't know much more about miniature size or look of tiles. Is currently on display at GenCon though ( http://www.livingdice.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/P1010329.jpg ).
Short review: http://www.boardgamenews.com/announcements/will-earth-be-reborn-thats-you
Another review on a German website http://www.cliquenabend.de/index.php?page=artikel&artikel=essen10&seite=13
After 500 years, two factions emerge from their underground cities into a new world, an Earth reborn from nuclear disaster.
12 highly detailed miniatures represent the two factions which are:
NORAD: military in thinking and origins. Scientists, engineers, add to their strength.
SALEMITES: occultists working with cadavers, bringing the dead to life.
Soon after emerging, these two factions meet - and it is determined that they can not live together in peace.
Earth Reborn offers nine scenarios that take you through missions of rescue, retrieval, escort. Through areas of labs, mansions, towns, and more. Each scenario builds upon the rules of a new chapter: the game system is built like a tutorial: There are core rules to start the game and each chapter offers 1-3 new rules along with a scenario that uses these new rules.
The game also contains the innovative S.A.G.S. (Scenario Auto Generating System) where 2-4 players can make their own maps and mission objectives for near infinite replayabiity!
Other features include:
1. A Tetris-like board construction using Tetris-shaped floor tiles.
2. An order tiles system to give commands to your miniatures
3. Interrupt Duels with Bluff, betting command points to interrupt an enemy character and act during anotherp player's turn.
4. The I.P.S. (Iconographic Phrasing System) which allows almost any effect to occur with icons, totally language independent.
5. Colored base arcs on miniatures to simplify Line of Sight, shooting and close combat. It also multiplies characters’ variations and possibilities.
6. The Search rule, giving a visceral feeling to searching in rooms to find equipment.
7. A Mission Points track that also serves as Morale Points track.
8. Radio Scrambling to mess with your opponents' orders.
Let's see if it turns out usable for an extended Space Hulk game.
