Thanks for the slaps on the back lads, after my streak of bad luck today, I needed it...
I just gave it a botched up base-coloring. Note to self, don't bother applying washes with an airbrush... So I'm going to have to re-do alot of the wash anyway.
Does anyone know if vallejo's airbrush line has anything thats close in tone with knarloc green washed with thrakka green?? Atm I've been forced to wash knarlock with thrakka just to get the green tone I want for uniforms and vehicles, wich is a bit of a bother actually.
I didn't notice that I hadn't finished the pistons untill I'd sprayed it.
That and forgotten to cover the gs with chaos black before spraying, as gw's black spray sometimes warps gs, which became evidently clear today :( ah well, hopefully I'll be able to do some more work on it tomorrow after I get home from work.
Oh, and the guns are magnetized. (though the magnet came off annoyingly enugh on a claw, and one bigshoota, so I'll have to re-glue that tomorrow aswell... Didn't think superglue would fail me so miserably...
The pilot will be obscured by tinted glass, and if that looks odd, ill make armoured view slits instead. I felt that a visible pilot was too much work, bearing in mind that i've spent most of my availiable free time (beside the time spent with my loving gf, and all the regular domestic chores that is) for the last month and a half or so.

Sorry to hear about the trouble being had with such an awesome conversion. That thing is rad. It hearkens back to the 80s power suits while keeping a relevant visualize appeal. I all your paint runs smooth. I can't wait to see it painted. Also- I can't wait o see more from you this is a VERY promising first project (on this forum, I mean). Keep the great work coming!

Wow! Just Wow! It looks great! Sorry to hear about your paint troubles, hope it goes better in the future. Can't wait to see more! And IMO I think slits would look better than tinted glass...just don't see Orks going for the limo-style windows. Keep up the good work!

Painting so far:
Just done the basic green (knarloc green washed with thrakka green) then highlighted with knarloc.
Painted all the metal, and painted the red tubes.
Still alot of work to do, detailing all gauges, do some greenstuff work on the leg piston, then do my camo (black boxes filled with grey). Wash it all in devlan mud and finally paint on some battle damage and "dust" up the legs and lower sections..
Anyhoo, these pics are for me to see anything I've missed, but I thought I'd share 'em with you too.
And finally my scorchas converted from KMBs
Thoughts? suggestions and ideas are welcome as allways.

Aswome Syuff. Is there going to be a pilot or are you going to put some kind of opaque glassy material in the 'windows'? It looks a bit plain without.
Can't wait to see it finished!

Thanks guys!
@grimm: I'll add toned glass windows, in the form of cut up blister, with the inside sprayed black, but I'm afraid either my painting on the rest of the vehicle or the matt spray varnish might mess it up, so those'll be the last bits I add.
So for the meantime, just imagine black glass on the cockpit.
Hopefully I'll get the camo and detailing done today.
But I have a bit of a question:
I'm going to try this technique for adding some battledamage/wear 'n tear to it; http://thepaintingcorps.blogspot.com/2008/12/friday-quick-tip-sponge-painting-battle.html
Now, what colours should I use for that? atm the hull is knarloc green with thrakka wash. I've only seen that technique used on "lighter" colours...
should I devlan wash the model before or after doing that??

It's an orkish Dreadnaught, in the latest edition of our fair codex, dubbed as a Deffdread.
Now, I REALLY need help with the weathering bit guys, as painting is at a standstill untill I figure out how to do it (mainly the Qs in my last post)
