I like how Fexes are still high up there even tough everyone (mostly those who dont play nids) always goes on about how they suck.

have to say old one eye even though it's quite horrible under the new rules, like the fluff like the colour scheme and like how if your oppenent is silly enough to leave a tank not moving near by it's 12 to 16 attacks auto hitting and auto penning almost everything

Because they do suck. They're just very iconic of the codex and have a lot of cool factor going for them in the fluff. On the tabletop? Rubbish.

That being said, going for the humble Hormagaunt. A full brood of 30 Hormagaunts with toxin sacks and Preferred Enemy will scare the bejeezus out of anything and I love them for it. These are the guys to cuddle with, take home and have as a pet.

It's like a giant bear. Imagine it raging around on the battlefield, tearing its foes straight in half.

Great rules, great fluff, and just generally an extreme even for nids.

If we are going by models though, previous ed. fex wins it hands down

They may suck at times, but they are still the only unit in the entire nid dex able to kill a monolith in CC

Cruddace goes and revives the Old One Eye, brings along Deathleaper(he was never in a codex, he was part of a campaign run by GW), adds 3 more special characters(Swarmy, Doom, Parasite), but LEAVES BEHIND THE TRULY AWESOME TYRANID SC?!? A little snippet of fluff in the Ravaners section DOES NOT COUNT! That bugger was so much fun back in 3rd edition! I'd send him straight at my opponent's HQ(s) and try to eat them for the epic lolz. One of the(many) fails of the codex. I guess it's kind of a good thing though. Cruddace probably would have ruined Mr. Red T.
