Wow, nice dread!!! Go ahead with the grass, it's something I've been considering as well for my Nurgle daemons & Plague Marines, but never put into form... So I'd be curious to see how it turns out!

Pustulently awsome dread. Nice work.

I like the idea of dead grass where the dread has stepped.

Thanks alot! I'm really happy with how it turned out, only regret is that I didn't magnetize the arms, recently tried the power of Daemon Weapons, and I feel in love with them!

Also, thanks everyone for the praise! My friend suggested that I should brighten up some of the more rotten parts even more, what do you think? He also suggested that I paint the 3 chest bubbles green instead of brown, any thoughts on that?

This thread is so full of awesome and I'm bummed that I never saw it before today. But I'm here now. The Nurgle Dread is AWESOME! I haven't had the chance to try any of the plastic kits yet (been recycling my old metal models) but between this and a couple others I have seen, along with a completely unrelated idea I am -stealing- inspired by from someone else, there's a new Death Guard Dreadnought in my future. Not immediate because I am buried right now, but I am going to do it.

Skalk, I'm blushing
Hope you get your dreadnought of the ground, too few people use Chaos Dreads. It's like they're afraid of an insane killing machine running rampant in they're own lines. I say, thats what Chaos is ALL about!

I've always seen that behavior as a potential discouragement to infiltrators.

That's a sensible point. I like it.

Looks really great! I love the hazard stripes on the lord. Really professional looking! I can never get them straight on the few models I've actually tried

Have any tips?

For the Terminators Shoulders, use masking tape. I tried SO many times to get it right without it, but that oval surface was just to hard to draw straight lines on. So I used little bits of tape, then smoothed the lines if it was needed. As for all other stripes: yellow first, then some pretty thick black paint on a standard brush. I usually dont even stroke the brush across the surface, I just press the side of it and most times I get a nice straight line.

Ah, that's a great idea! It never really occurred to me that I could fit tape on shoulder pads, but I'll try it, thanks! I think some places even sell really thin tape (I've seen 1/8th inch before) which would be perfect for this kind of thing!

Finaly an update!
First of, got some basic Iron Warriors, 2 Aspiring Champions and a Standard Bearer

And, something thats been missing from my army, TANKS!! (Work in Progress -.-)
Intended Forms + WIP Lord with Daemon Weapon

Option nr 2

All options just for fun

Gonna try to get the Predator/Rhino done as soon as possible, then it's either the Lord or the Vindicator. Btw, sorry for the lack of finished models, I have a hard time staying forcused on one model at the time since I have so many to work on.

IR Sadface that your covering up the wonderful IW powerclaw with GS. But thats def an interesting take on Daemon weapon.

I'm so tempted to get that Warsmith model and try and 'loyalize' him for my Ebon Gauntlets.

I would NEVER destroy that claw! The whole arm comes of, claw, shoulder and everything. The arm that I have on now is a normal plastic arm with GS on it. When I first got the idea to turn his arm into a obliterator weapon (yes, it's supposed to be an obliterator arm, hope it shows abit), I was scared stiff that I might have to cover up the original claw, I love it so much.

Sure thing! Keep in mind that this is my first atempt at sculpting something with GS, so it's not so great, but I'm pretty happy with it so far
First, compared to the arms that inspired me

And on the Warsmith

ANY suggestions or tips for this weapon is welcome since I'm still a novice with GS
