Holy gak, that is one huge fething dragon .

Heh, that's a clever idea. I wouldn't mind seeing THAT as a flyrant.

Its pretty cool but Im not all that keen on it (think im the only one too!). I like the head and feet. The rest is a little plain. But really the only reason I wont buy it is because its so big. I try not to buy 'stuff' that takes up too much space.

This dragon is 2m high. It seems to be limited edition though plus it doesnt look as good (has a cool tail, about it).

For my money, id rather go the following. It just has 'more', is smaller and would be fun to paint due to the extra bits. Plus, would be much better for wargameing.

Err, that's not two meters high. That's two feet high.

Yea lol. 2 Meters is as tall as a man!

Although when it comes to dragons, I am content with the smaller scale ones such as mantic. easier to field

Unless I'm mistaken, Heresy is in the UK and it costs 100 pounds, not euros. I don't know what the exchange rates are like atm but that might make it a little better...

It will probably cost more after the pre-orders are over! Although without a definite date when the casting / etc will be done, it still might be wise to wait. If I were certain I wanted it (and I would if I still played an army that could field a dragon) I'd probably put the 30 pounds down again just to reserve the price...

If you do, though, be prepared to wait another 6 months for it to ship! As this is still just the green.

Edit: Just realized WoC can field a dragon, but a corrupted one... probably not a good fit. Still tempting, though

That things is awesome!

I assume those joins will be less visible in the finished piece though? That is my only complaint, although it's pretty minor as some greenstuff would likely fix it pretty easily.

He mentioned that those pics were blue-tacked together... but with a piece this big, there will probably be some gaps to fill in the end anyway. Worth it, I'm sure!!

Now that is brilliant...and when you think about it from a "value for money" aspect, totally worth it IMHO.

My reasoning?

Look at it from a "pound per hour of entertainment / hobby" perspective... it would take me at least 100 hours of work to build / fill / prime / paint / base that beauty.

That for me works out, at current exchange rates, at AU$1.60 per hour of entertainment. Hell of a lot cheaper than going to the movies, drinking, or smoking! (At least in Australia... )

Man I wish GW would get sculpters like this. Why they cant make a good looking dragon, I dont know. Regardless this would be a good center piece or collector piece. Guess I will have to get it.

All those dragons look remarkable.

I kinda like the oracle dragon, wish it had more views. My only concern with the heresy dragon is the scale pattern, but it looks ace already so I really wanna see one painted up.

Just so everyone not on FB or Twitter knows, the Dragon has arrived safely at Fenris Games, who will be attempting to cast it. More news soon, including actual final price for those who haven't paid anything yet.

Waiting list currently stands at around 62 people fully paid up. Now just have to find the money to pay for all their dragons...

I can't get to the Heresy site here at work, can anyone let me know what the price with deposit is? My DM would love to get something like that for X-mas, although my concern about my fellow players killing me once it hits the table might discourage me from the purchase...

Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

Ok, its out now and the full price disclosed. £200 is not unreasonable for this beast.

Anyone here take up the £100 preorder offer, and will you blog the paintjob.

I myself was sorely tempted, but didnt have the room. I have some regrets but practicality won over.

I dont think GW does nearly as bad on their dragons as people seem to think.

Galrauch is a pretty good model, and so are the Gold ones as well. (HElfs.)

I'll agree to a point - GW's dragons are OK, but really, Galrauch?

NOT a good example to show GW's ability to make a good looking dragon!

Very nice indeed. I like my Confrontation Dragon Titan, though. Not sure I need ANOTHER ginormous dragon.

But should I find an excessive amount of spare money, this might join my Titan...
