Quite fantastic, and I love the head. A job well (finally) done!
What material are the claw tips and the like, that are a different color? And I assume this is one of the first casts?

This is the test cast. I'd guess that the claws are metal looking at them. Andy can do that in house but I'd have to check to be sure.

I really wish they would do another production run of that 'Predator' model, or something similar. It looks awesome, I made an enquiry about it but never heard anything back.. :(

Lovely model, but a 6 month wait ouch!

Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House! |

He said a while back that he wanted to do more of those but the Dragon has been eating up all of his time.
Speaking of which, what a monster, wish I had the money and the painting talent to do it justice.
Great to see him get through this and realise his ambition after all this time.

Part of the six month wait is that it's basically 2 one man operations making the dragon and only so many casting hours in a week for one man.

6 month wait? There was over a 2 year wait to get to the 6 month wait!
The end product looks to be astounding... I'm just waiting to see that he can actually get these things molded in decent time to be able to meet his queue, let alone new demand for one. Which is why I think people who want one of these new really should wait until the queue is met. I'm wondering if end of summer is too aggressive of a timeline, and instead it could be fall... in which case it's possible there will have been a 3 year wait for people who put down a deposit early, but failed to pay the full deposit when he opened things, and so got relegated to the back of the queue.

Look, what is the matter with you people?
It takes a looooong time to hatch dragon eggs.
And you have to find them first, they are usually in remote hostile far away places with strange sounding names.
Then there is Mommy Dragon to contend with!!! YIKES!
2 1/2 months seems reasonable to me in the circumstances!

From Andy on facebook
"Expecting a small box of dragons today. But need to make new moulds for some parts to be done in metal rather than resin. Also need to source appropriately alliterative protective packaging for posting purposes."
So close yet so far

Lots of pre-orders for it and it's being cast up by what basically equates to 2 one man companies. Personally, after seeing what Andy has gone through I'd be happy to wait.

Im not knocking the model - it is nice.
But as is usual with these type of releases it is way too expensive and the usual "tricks" have been employed to "stretch" the size - built up base height and angling of the body so they can say its a certain height-just look at the FW Bloodthirster "9in heigh" to the top of the weapon held as heigh as possible overhead actuall head height about 4 - 4.5 in.
Again not knocking the figure and compared to some other companies its not that badly priced but if you have a limited budget try gift shops you can get similar sized resin dragons pre-painted to a good standard for 20-30 pounds.
