Man, I swear I have responded to this, maybe not.
1) Paint my, ~2200 points of Guard, including all options, which means a few more points.
2) Expand guard with 2 full troop platoons using Cadian models, representing more of a conscript or "new" regiment.
3) Start Black Templar army. Maybe limit to 1000 points for this year.
4) Start WM, maybe just the starter box, and one other thing. Try for 100 dollars excluding books.
5) Get Deathwatch core book and supplies. Get a small game running at school.
6) Better modeling and painting techniques. Going to be hard without spending money on models however.
And if I have time/money, I would like to start WHFB. Just one of the armies out of the starter box.

Ultramarine Land Raider Pilot on Cruise Control
|
Here are my 2010 Resolutions 1) Buy more carrying cases. I have no room to store any more completed models (apart from a few more marines). So my number one objective needs to be to get some more foam to store my minis! I can't finish any half done projects if I have no place to store a finished product.
I've spent more this year on foam than anything else so I guess I've accomplished this one 2) Finalize a paint scheme for my Khador army. I've got a Warmachine army that's been gathering dust waiting for the release of the new rules set this January. Once that bad boy hits I want to be able to play a few games and to do that I need to have a painted army.
Done and done. I finalized a paint scheme for my khador and played 3 games. 3) Only play with painted stuff. Playing in Brian's campaign this year has inspired me to only play with painted figs. I've got enough figs and tanks around the house to field nearly anything I want to so I just need to paint it all, and the best way to do that is to only play with painted figs.
I only played in 1 game this entire year with unpainted models and that was a 16,500 apoc game against Spellbound. Of course I only played in about 20 games. 4) Finish rare models collection. I'm missing 2 models to have every Ultramarine GW has produced, I'm going to try and track them down this year and I'll let no ebay sniper get in my way. I'm also missing a few rogue trader mechanicus figures to finish off a collection of them.
I don't know how but I was able to track down both the Ultramarines figures this year, however the mechanicum figs I'm missing have shot up to the ~$30 price range and I don't know if I'm happy with spending that much on 1 infantry figure. 5) Finish a super heavy. Stormlord, warhounds, reavers, mysterious projects no one's seen? Take your pick, but I definitely need to finish 1 or all of them.
Swing and a miss. Although the warhounds are nearing completion. 6) Keep track of painting and purchases via log book. I've created an excel spreadsheet for keeping track of my gaming related purchases and accomplishments. I'd like to see at the end of the next year everything I've accomplished without having to rely on my faulty memory.
Mission accomplished! I painted 1270 figures in the past year. That includes vehicles, characters and nearly 300 15mm figures. Out of that total 1136 were on commission. I started but never finished 74 figures. Monetarily... well lets just say I spent too much. For 2011: Increase my molding capabilities. There has been some things I want to mold but I've been afraid too, I've got some silicon that's about to go bad and I figure it's time to experiment. Start my Wolf army. I've signed myself up for the 40k Radio motivational challenge for the rest of 2011 and it'll hopefully keep me going on my wolves. Every month I have to complete something different Jan - Bootaz Choice Feb – Troop March – HQ April – Troop May – Elite June – Heavy Support July – Fast Attack August – Elite September – Heavy Support October – Bootaz Choice including Toys for Tots Nov – Fast Attack Dec – Objective Markers / Terrain /Display Board Play in more tournaments. Hopefully as I move into the career world I'll be able to get some Saturdays off to play in a few tournaments. Play on Wednesday nights. As I'm finally finished with school I plan on making it up on Wednesday nights to the FLGS more often. This will give me some more practice, which I am in dire need of. Buy more foam. This is a repeat goal because I'm tired of having models strewn everywhere. I'm trying to make a case of unpainted models so I can just open it up when I get the painting itch.

1. Get rid of my old tyranid and lizardmen armies (first armies I got into and haven't touched them in years)
2. Get rid of an old space marine army me and my brother started and fell out of.
3. Heavily reduce the size of my 40k ork army and paint what I want to keep.
4. Continue rebuilding my Dark Eldar army with new models and paint as I buy.
Basically reduce the size of my hobby collection.

Never-Miss Nightwing Pilot

There's a few:
1) Not start any new armies. I have a thing for new armies and i always end up getting drawn into one and ignoring my older ones, but this year i will not start a new army and concentrate on my older ones.
2) Get as many of my armies as possible to a point where i need not add to them and can just enjoy gaming with them. True, as i play i may make a few tweaks to the list but generally adding no more units. This is normally a round points value which is a good size for pick up and play games, so 1250, 1500, 1750 or 2000. In the case of my rather large eldar army this'll mean refining one or two smaller lists. I thought i'd achieved this objective with my orcs and goblins, but with a new army book coming out, and undoubtedly more models, i will have to add things to my army, and probably change things around a bit.
I'd like to say that by the end of the year i'd have half my armies to this point, though that may seem a bit unrealistic. However, my dwarf army is getting close, as a recieved a dwarf battalion for christmas, so you never know.
3) Make an army profile on dakka. In conjuction with resoloution number 2 when one of my armies reaches this point, i'll put it on dakka, as i've been on dakka for a long time now, but still haven't done any of this. Preferably a WHFB army, as there are more 40k army profiles here on dakka.
4) Tidy up my 'warhammer zone'. I have an area in the garage dedicated to my wargaming stuff, and it looks like a dozen night goblin fanatics have rampaged through it. So when it gets warmer, i'm going to tidy it up. This includes clipping all spare bits out of sprues and making some bitz boxes!
5) Play more games!

1. Add some points to my GK (if there is anything in the new releases I actually want).
2. Drop my national tourney ranking through the floor (sitting out this year, so should drop me 3-400 places) - I've become tired of the tourney scene here.
3. Play more Infinity/other games. GW has monopolised my time for long enough, time to share.

Fixture of Dakka

I have a couple of goals this year.
First is to shave off some of my vast collection of fantasy and 40K and use the money for other systems. Don't get me wrong, I like 40K, but when you have as much as I do, and then find that you don't play as often as you once did, you find yourself wanting to spash around in some different puddles.
Second is to continue painting and getting in on Malfaux and Pulp City stuff. I like these systems, and want some more of the stuff I've been reading about for the past few months, and not being able to get to my local shop.
Third is to paint more. When you don't have it, you want it more then you do when you do it every day.
Fourth, and Fifth is to get reaquanted with RPG's. both with P and P and some online ones. That DC one, the 40K one, and some of the other ones really look cool. I also am looking hard at this guy over here who's getting up a deathwatch game. ( Hint Hint....) as well as back to Twilight:2000, so when Mongoose mucks it, I can go back and restart the game with GDW's first game.
Theres a couple of others along the same lines, such as some of those RAFM minis, the modern combat games, and some historicals and full fledged campaign games that begin from Battlefleet gothic then go all the way down to city fight that I'm looking into, but those are back burner for if I get through some of my top five.

Well mine are already under way.
1. Actualy finish my BT army, fully painted (which is actualy fun at the moment with a new style of painting I tried) and fully brought up to date with my current skill level. Basicaly to streamline them, its only been oh lets say 13-15 years so yeah time I got them finished. I still have some with the first paint job I ever did on them.
2. Any left overs(if any) from that mentioned above, filtered down into my BA and SWstyle army.
Obtainable me thinks.
