Being elbow deep in converting anything I get my hands on thats relevant to my armies. However even though there is great satisfaction in completing said project when finished I feel bored with it and usualy sits un/half painted for some time.

So yeah, its all about the converting for me even if its just sticking on the (more than the usual amount) gubbins.

I would say when my missus plays against me, but cause I smash her so bad 99% of the time I feel bad about it, and thus she rarely plays due to me winning.

Saturday my first game of the tournament was an unexpected matchup with a gorgeously-converted Vraks Renegades army. I had never played against them before and was somewhat intimidated by stuff like the Manticore missile platform with its 7" template S9 AP2 shots, the Chaos Lord leading Mutant Ogryn, and the Tarantula Lascannon battery. My opponent was a total gentleman, it was a super close game all the way through, and I eked out the win on the secondary objective. Outstanding fun.

I have several moments of happiness ( btw cool topic not-that-meangreenstompa )

- I enjoy painting and my 4 year old around me playing with the paint pots or cracking down his water colors to paint like papa.
- I'm happy when I get the time to hobby, its very hard these days.
- I'm very happy when a miniature I sculpted is sold and casted to lots of hobby nerds like myself and if they express enjoyment painting them then its a very nice feeling of a job well done.

Lately not so many sculpts from me to fans since I feel a bit disapointed with they way my exposure was explored and abused by anonimous indirect nasty comments, even if I'm happy with the peole that enjoy the efforts the latest nerd rages net debates were assimilated.

Interesting how alot of people use this hobby as a means to spend time with their families. For my, the hobby gives me a chance to get away from them.

What I enjoy the most about this hobby is meeting new people. I am the only person in my friends circle who play this game. It is awesome to meet people who I can talk with and discuss ideas about 40k.

Nasty Nob on Warbike with Klaw

St. Louis, MO

Last Saturday I had my monthly AD&D game. Had a "warm fuzzy" moment there.

Pre-Christmas, I helped one of the girls in the group pick up a box of WHFB Orcs for her boyfriend's kid & pointed her at paint, brushes, etc.

I also tossed a bunch of DDM plastics and MK clix his way.

Saturday, she tells me, "Sean said I have to give you this," and she unwraps an handkercheif to reveal an Orc Boy with shield & spear that he's assembled and painted from the box. It was his favorite from the set, and he wanted me to have it.

For an 11 year old's first attempt at modeling and painting, it's fantastic. If has a place of honor up on my shelf.

I've assembled a 40K Nob from my bits and am in the process of painting it up for him as a return gift.
