If he's cheating at mandollies, what other issues is he hiding?
Cheats usually do so to compensate for something else bad in their miserable existence, so there's at least ONE person they can lord it over.
I'd find another person to play and NEVER play him again. EVER.
Sometimes you have to cut them off at the neck pass before they go too far, though.

I rolled it 100 times, and a hit came up twice as often as it should have (30 as opposed to 16). The others were spread evenly-ish.
You do realize there's a hit on one third of the sides, right? Out of a hundred rolls, it should be coming up somewhere around 33 times, so 30 is acceptably close to what it should be rolling...

Wait what now? I re-roll my Broadsides' twinlinked rail guns with the same dice that I originally rolled with-that's how I was taught to play...is that wrong?
Example: I fire my broadsides at Lokir the Dreadnought-3 dice, 2 5s and a 1. I pick the 1 up and re-roll after my opponent has seen the results (from being twinlinked) getting another 5. Lokir is sadly (again) made fully dead. This is wrong?

He means if you have a 3 shot TL weapon, rolling 6 dice all at once skews the probability compared to rolling 3 dice and then re-rolling the misses.

Rolling 2 dice for TL has NO effect on single shot weapons.
On multishot weapons you can still do it, but you must have a pair of dice for each shot that can be distinguished from all other dice.

Scatter dice have 2 "hit" results, so 1/3 of rolls should be "hits." 30/100 is more or less right on where it should be (actually it is 3 hit results too few!).

They shall be my finest warriors, these men who give of themselves to me. Like clay I shall mold them, And in the furnace of war I shall forge them. They will be of iron will and steely muscle. In great armor shall I clad them, and with the mightiest of guns will they be armed. They are my bulwark against the Terror. They are the Defenders of Humanity. They are my Space Marines, and they shall know no fear.

I felt really iffy playing in a club at my college. This one guy has a jug of dice, and generally picks out a few particular dice for more important rolls (he even bragged that he never rolled below a 4 on that d6), as well as suffering from the "Not rolling, more sliding the dice onto the table" issue. I'm seirously thinking of just getting him a dice cube and using dice cups for our games, if only to put my mind at ease.

Make a cool die tower.
Basically a small tower with protrusions on the inside. You drop your dice in the top and they hit the things inside and come out on the bottom. I think it would be really, really hard to try and cheat with one of those.

I wouldn't, because if you roll a 1and a 6 your opponent will argue that it gets hot.

Actually, it does. It is specifically an issue of chronological order.
If you roll one die, and it misses, you get the chance to roll again to hit... then there are certain instances. Eg. Plasma Weapons...
EDIT: didnt see papathrax below...
papathrax wrote:I wouldn't, because if you roll a 1and a 6 your opponent will argue that it gets hot.
Exactly.
Just play by the rules. When gamers take shortcuts it leads to confusion (unless you take the time to explain), which leads to arguements and noone enjoys the game.

That's a cool idea, I'll look into that, but before then, I'll be using dice cups.

It only matters with get's hot (and then only if both are misses; roll a one and a six and the six is the only thing that matters, roll a one and a two and you don't know which one came first: if it was the one, it doesn't get hot, while if it was the two, then it does) and multiple shots, and then only if the dice aren't differentiable (say, two different colors for a get's hot weapon, one is "first" and the other "second", or pairs of different colors for normal multishot weapons, so if there were, say, out of [6, 6, 5, 1, 1, 1], two red sixes, a green 5 and 1, and two blue ones, you know that's two hits, not three).

Rolling twin linked together just sounds like a recipe for confusion. Is it really that hard to roll the dice and then reroll the misses? I mean, you must only save like 5 seconds rolling them together, it hardly seems worth the extra bother.

Honestly, best thing to do with the guy is say something like this...
"so, you know you cheat, and so do I. So does that guy over there. and that girl. They dont play with you much. I won't either unless you stop being a butt pirate"
"WHATEVER man you're the cheater, you're the fraud, Im gonna tell people YOU cheat, blah blah, im a big baby who can't man up and be honest"
"You're right, you ARE a big baby who can't man up. Good luck winning from cheating rather than skill. Im gonna go play with those cool people over there. I suggest you start playing with the 12 year olds. You seem to be on their level of honesty and maturity"
for real. Dont let some jagaloon walk all over you. People always say people like that will get theirs someday, blah blah...and then are so confused on why they dont. Cause everyone else says the same thing you say to yourself, and figure someone else will put them in their place. You dont gotta be a dink about it, just be honest and mature.

I always just try an call out the cheating the moment i see it "hey your scattering in the wrong direction, would you like me to do it?" "i am pretty sure those SM can only move 6" not 8" "wow those dice are awesome, i think i'll use yours for the rest of the game" these are all things I wouldn't mind letting my opponent say to me, so if they refuse, then i pack up that game and its over. No whining, shouting or any sort of foolishness. people look pretty silly with an army they spent hundreds of dollars on and no one to play with. And if some wierdo cheater guy tries to get in my face about wasting his time or me being being unfair or makes a scene, I will quite literary punch him in the mouth. We are men (usually) playing a game. the game has rules, and I have mine. After i've been cheated i feel disrespected, but i don't complain, like i said, i just pack it in. If i get disrespected further thats a whole other matter. This guy Stan doesn't seem like my kind of sort, and i am not promoting violence, but you called him out on cheating, and stopped playing, if he gets all cranky pants knock his a$$ out. Trust me if he ever decided to play you again he'll all of a sudden know all the rules.
