In that foulest of ages, this ship had hung in the skies above Holy Terra as the world's atmosphere burned. Its name was Ashallius S'Veyval, in a dead language, from a dead world. In Imperial Gothic, it translated loosely as Echo Of Damnation.
Thank Heaven! The crisis --The danger, is past, and the lingering illness is over at last --, and the fever called "Living" is conquered at last.

A country damn lucky to be alive after siding with the Nazis in WWII?
Um, pretty much every country that sided with Nazis is still alive today (Italy, Japan, etc).
Eastern Europe was occupied and turned into client states until the 90s when they went indepednent. However that trend has reversed.
Eastern Germany got the crap kicked out of it by the Russians.
Isn't that more related to the Iron Curtain than Nazi Germany?

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.
Excerpt from "Seeress of Kell", Book Five of The Malloreon series by David Eddings.
"You need not fear us, unless you are a dark heart, a vile one who preys on the innocent; I promise, you can’t hide forever in the empty darkness, for we will hunt you down like the animals you are, and pull you into the very bowels of hell." Iron - Within Temptation

Saako Nokia Reindeer Santa Claus country. Air guitar championships.
And a couple of metal bands.
Oh, and it's amusing when they can hold down four conversations in four different languages (we had some Finn backpackers working with us for a while. They would often have four way convos with Germans, Russians and the Norwegians in each of their languages at the same time). It perplexed most of my co-workers.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.
That is not dead which can eternal lie ...
... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

Jacques Chirac's comment that Britain had the worst cusine in the world... except Finland. Those last two words cost Paris the Olympics. Everyone knows the French and British like to take swipes at each other, but you can't belittle other countries as part of the joke. It's against the rules.
Cheers Finland London 2012 here we come

If you think your important, in the great scheme of things. Do the water test.
Put your hands in a bucket of warm water,
then pull them out fast. The size of the hole shows how important you are.
I think we should roll some dice, to see if we should roll some dice, To decide if all this dice rolling is good for the game.
