Thanks for the overall positive responses. I will see what I can do about getting it painted. But I was thinking of making a more refined version of this since, I just kinda glued on whatever seem to fit and look okay.

Sadly, he only made 3 rounds of close combat over the course of 3 games (18 player turns).

This really does look impressive! You should really do a more refined model and make a step-by-step tutorial on how to achieve this Ork Monstrosity! However, I don't see what people have against Ghazghkull's original model...

I guess you'll have to find someone to take the "less refined" version off your hands then.

He looks significantly better then the stock Ghaghzull. Truly something. You should really convert this into an article. I'd be happy to help with photoshopping, if you're so inclined.

I am thoroughly impressed with that conversion. Its very neat and tidy and would not look out of place in any ork army. AND, props for keeping all its parts within the one kit.
Id like to see you kitbash a whole army.

Great use of stock parts. I really like the Iron Gob (or whatever it is right now in the Ork Codex) being roughly cut out of some scrap metal. Paint it up as soon as possible, it is going to be pretty impressive when finished.

Here is the current progress on this model. It was a rather quick paint job and haphazard at that. Still deciding if it needs more checks in places and any other glyphs. And also whether or not I should make the hair any particular color (leaning towards yellow, but easily see purple) Originally the gob was black with a red Grim glyph, but I felt like it didn't stand out enough, so I blinged it out and gave him a gold grill to show his status. The black shoulder plate was too plain and it needed color on that side of the model to balance it out. Since I removed the Grim glyph on the jaw, I put a Waaagh glyph here. Originally I tried a stripe of checkers across the plate but it was just too much and was distracting. Still a few things left to do, like the teeth on the armband, pants, and boots, and belt. I am probably going to leave basing last until I get to the point of basing the whole 1850+ points of boyz. I find it help keep it looking more consistent. Anyway, enough rambling. Here you go:

Sorry that they are a bit grainy. I was lazy and didn't want to set up my sock basket photo studio for better lighting. At least it help hide my terrible painting skills.

I was really wondering if you could pull off the Mega-armor convincingly with a conversion when reading the thread title.

You did. That right there is a really well done model that you should be extremely proud of.

I fail to see the problem. The Shoota is big is it not? Therefore it is a Big Shoota.

Its hard to be awesome, when your playing with little plastic men.
Welcome to Fantasy 40k

If you think your important, in the great scheme of things. Do the water test.

Put your hands in a bucket of warm water,
then pull them out fast. The size of the hole shows how important you are.
I think we should roll some dice, to see if we should roll some dice, To decide if all this dice rolling is good for the game.

GW should be looking on these forums because I would gladly pay three times as much for this model than the GW one. I cannot believe there was no GS in this. Good work!

Good thing, because you could probably pay three times as much for this. They're all GW bitz, buy them online or just get AoBR, and there you go!

Man, I'm so tired of all these Star Wars...

Build a fire for a man and he will be warm for a day; set a man on fire and he will be warm for the rest of his life.

Sly Marbo was originally armed with a power weapon, but he dropped it while assaulting a space marine command squad just so his enemies could feel pain.

Instead of the Power Klaw, maybe I should convert it to have poo-on-a-stick. It would be the most devastating weapon in 40K!
