First off before anything else, this is a work in progress for my Deathwing army. The only thing I knew about them is that I wanted to run a Terminator as Troops army with some Lion themed conversion pieces I had seen over at Scibor. It was Markillius08 who came up with the name so he deserves full credit for that.

So here I give you what I acquired for The Emperor's Pride Chapter so far, this will be one picture heavy post...bear with me.

First off I do have a Terminator Commander who was in the process of being converted....but he might be downgraded to a unit champion.

Here is my Chapter's boss:


Lufgt Heron, Chapter Master of the Astral Claws.
I will most likely exchange the flamer hand for another arm, probably the Terminator Commander with built in Stormbolter.

That is one HQ Choice out of the way, so for my other I went for the usual choice of a Chaplain in Terminator Armor, well seriously what else. Terminator armor is the only way to go in a Deathwing force.



From eBay I ordered enough bits to get my Assault Terminators back up to full strength, I still have a Terminator squad from Assault on Black Reach as well. Just to be on the safe side I ordered in another Terminator Squad from GW as well.
My Assault Terminator Squad will be lead by this guy below.

I bought one cheap Landraider from eBay but that turned out to be damaged beyond repair as well as missing pieces. So I need to get my hands on another one, in addition to the Land Raider Crusader that is already in the mail. So I can sum up the rest of my army as follows: Regular Terminator Squads, Assault Terminator Squad, Land Raider Crusader and eventually another Land Raider. I also have two Dreadnoughts from Assault on Black Reach so there's that as well.

Now just imagine all those regular Terminators being converted with the following pieces.







I am hoping to equip the Thunderhammer Terminators with spears or halberds to add to the Greek Soldier feel. Sadly I think that in my mind this is going to be awesome...until I need to paint them...

awsome sause was what i thought! also i think you should do this because lots of ppes out there would love to see how terminators actually look like with scibor parts... i dont know if the heads aren´t to small...but i guess you will find out...

actually i think your chapter master should have his flamer hand... the flamer muzzle is one cool bit...

So on page one of my thread here on Dakka Rawson requested some more pictures of my heavy weapon team beyond the grainy one I put up when I started this blog. As I am currently dual blogging at two places, and am too lazy to figure out to properly work Dakka I type this blog first in order to properly upload my images for use in the other post. Mwahah. Don't worry I did not make three different Heavy Weapon Teams at the moment all the weapons (Heavy Bolter, Autocannon and Lascannon) are interchangeable.

And to add to the last few comments about Squat bikers to serve as Rough Riders...

nothing says easy rider as squat bikers...what a wild bunch of short stuffs...

one question tho, the gunner of your autogun? wh is he so away from the autogun? it is clear that he is aiming, so unless he has some kind of Wii remote control for it it would be better to position him right behind the gun...there is a little slit just for the dual pistolgrips at the far end of the HW guns...

and does that first seperate dwarf quaff from a beer mug? lol...i wanted to send you the one i have as a little motivational booster ...cause dwarves will be dwarves^^

Ahh the reason the gunner is so far away from the Heavy Weapon has a simple reason really. The Lascannon is actually longer at the back than the Autocannon or the Heavy Bolter. So if I had assembled it as it should be, I would not be able to swap out all of the heavy weapon options. I might have to tweak it so it looks like he is using a small remote to fire the weapon.

And yes. I have several Squats toting a full beer mug along with them. After all they might be from space, they are still dwarfs damnit!

I got in my ordered Terminator bits from eBay, only ordered the Scibor stuff yesterday though. So that should take a bit of time, the same with the items from Games Workshop. Anyone ever notice how Forgeworld sends out its stuff so much faster than GW does?

I hit another snag, I want to get more Cyclone Missile Launchers in my units than I seem to be able to find online. Does anyone know of a place where I can either get proper Cyclone Missile Launchers or similar items to stick on my Emperor's Pride Terminators? (Also a resource for a Apothecary's Narthecium/Reductor would be appreciated).

as for the cyclone misery... well have you considered scratchbuilding these? use mortar shells and rocketlanchers form the imperial HW team sprue and make a light case... maybe go for a new look like these:



that might be not too difficult...or you use sharpened sprue pieces as missiles... like sharpen them with a pencil sharpener so to get a nice pointy end then cutting off the very pointy end to get it a bit stubby...then add all the missiles in the case ...mount end of story... doesn´t have to use like an actual cyclone ML to work as one...

That might be an idea Vik, Ill look into it, of course the issue is that the actual launcher is very small as it fits on top of a Space Marine Terminator and is not held as an actual weapon. But then again a smaller version might either look nicer, or not at all...but I do have those HW Missile Launchers left over...
Im not touching my Mortars as I saved those to actually assemble as a HW Squad for my Squats.

tell you what, my own inspiration got sparked and i will try out if i can built a multi missile lancher myself... will keep you updated on this!

I´ve attached a pic beneath of the Cyclone Missile Launcher next to an Imperial Guard Sergeant in order to see a sense of scale. My GW Order just came in, of course it is too late to actually assemble anything before I head out to work....

...and I finally ran out of superglue as well. Damnit.

They are mostly naked of course and would need get some armor sculpted, but they could give you a lot of freedom for your conversions. Would be a demanding, yet potentially awesome conversion, idk maybe you like the idea.

pics not showing...but since i have both parts at home i can make comparission on my own... why do you order super glue? it´s common as dirt in the shops here in germ-any^^ i get it in every bigger foodshop and the lowquality stuff you get for under one €...or do you order special stuff? then let me in on those secrets^^

I have to admit I did actually consider them when I was starting out, they failed for Rank and File Infantry, but what might work for them is to serve as a Penal Legion, just means getting my hands on one handed weapons such as chainswords and laspistols etc. Ill keep them in mind, moreso as the Sprue picture is a great help to see what is in the box.

those dwarves look like old school chaos dwarves...hmmmm... depends of their role in your army... not for mainbody fighters... if you want to do vets, they could work...but i say you have to convert heavyly...

I said so already Penal Legion, means they are the prisoners given a second chance. Scum. Worst of the worst....besides it allows me to funnel back in a vibe of Dwarf Slayers. Make them all red heads and add blue body paint.... Braveheart anyone?

I AM JEALOUS. I love all your commander model choices, and the bits from Scibor I will voug for. Check out my GK blog in a few for pics of some scibor bits I bought.

I'm not sold on the heads, to be honest. In LOVE with all the rest of the bits though. My suggestion is have one of each set of shoulders on your termies, gives them a little more dynamic flair versus just identical pads on each shoulder.
Also, if you have any extra termi bits, lol, let me know cause lord knows I need some haha and I'd be happy to trade!

Also, YOU HAVE A LOT OF STUFF ON YOUR BLOG, but I'm sure you know this.

Im not sold on all of the heads included either truth be told the heads I like are (top Image from L to R) heads number: 3, 4 (those two I like best), 6, 7, 8. So I ordered more heads than I can use, Ill see how they look on my models.
Which also requires some converting but should be doable.
