I agree with darkkt, the brass looks amazing on the World Eaters, the red also. Diggin' the orks as well.

Love to know how you get that great dirty brass effect!

My brass effect:
I use the GW metallics because they are still the best (even if they are a little thick) and i'm not a fan of NMM. I use a thin coat of dwarf bronze and then a generous coat of devlan mud wash. Finally I use shining gold highlights and chainmail for extreme highlights. I try to keep it dirty looking for the world eaters so I try not to over highlight much.

Hope that helps.

It's been said many times already, but this is just outstanding work. Really makes me want to get more serious about improving my own painting...I'm trying, but I think I'd have to paint a thousand armies worth of models to get near this level.

Splendid work!

It's nice to see something besides wash splashed/dry-brushed/no color paint work being done.

I also enjoy your base work. It's very clean and adds to the miniature without fighting it for eye time.

The models that I'm most drawn too are the terminators. The limited use of palette coupled with the smooth blending and highlighting is truely impressive.

I would love to know how you did that blue?

Thanks for sharing this with us!

Wow......
Your blues are mesmerizing. I love that ork dread.

The world eater is freaking perfect. I mean perfect, that grill is just amazing. Great work.

You have any tutorials?

thanks everyone, much feedback and support is welcomed!
haven't done any tutorials... but would be willing to.

the blues are pretty simple.
Base color in GW regal blue
black wash only in the edges and creases.
drybrush and extreme highlight in ultra marine blue
finally extreme highlight in ice blue.

simple formula. hope it helps.

I am trying some of the Vallejo Game color now to and getting some neat results too.

Simply amazing minis. Loving on the Space Marines and in total painting envy over here.

BTW how did you achieve the white results (shading and depth) on the faces of the Terminators? I have yet to master that.

The whites on the termies were first basecoated in grey then given a ogryn fleah wash. then highlighted in grey/white and finally extreme highlighted in white. a sparing ogryn flesh washed used again in the recesses.

hope that helps.

Do you mix down your GW paints? I've found them to be so hit or miss in their consistency, and my painting suffers for it. Is any of this airbrushing, like the base coats? your coverage is so smooth and uniform. I'm really impressed by this, it's what I strive for. How do you achieve the smoothness?

Surprisingly, i have found the GW paint to MORE consistent than the Vallejo Game Color. The GW are thicker. I do water them down some but not to much> I really dont do too many layers of paint. I use a wider brush on my basecoats to get a more even spread and smooth look.
