I just installed it for the iPhone, nice job, thank you!
I had a few comments/questions after playing with it for a while though.
1) The label backgrounds need to be wider as some of the paint names are too long to fit neatly inside them. One example is Macharius Solar Orange
2) The Select button on the scroller looks much smaller than the standard select button and is hard to read.
3) What does the star next to VGC Heavy Warmgrey mean?
4) What order are the colours listed in? I can see they are grouped (mostly) by colour, but there doesn't seem to be a clear reason for the order the colours are displayed in?

Okee dokee. Those things are easy fixes. I don't actually own an iPhone, so I haven't done any on-device testing of the app. What works on the simulator might be completely different on an actual device.
Apple doesn't have an officially supported way to make spinner views (the "scroller") pop-up like that, so I had to hoodwink it. The standard select button you are referring to is automatically generated by the iOS SDK for the keyboard and navigation bar views and is not available for use outside of those views. Sooooo, I had to try and replicate it.
3) What does the star next to VGC Heavy Warmgrey mean?
Just an accidental holdover from when I was going to note the colors that may or may not be 100% accurate. Instead I decided to get rid of the asterisks and just have a general notice that the colors might not match completely. I'll remove it.

They are listed according to the way that GW orders their paints. On top of that, there are three broader sections: Regular paint, foundation paint, and washes-- I have them in that order in the app.

Thanks for the responses. If it helps, I can send screenshots of any issues I come across?
I would suggest, from a user's perspective, to not show the N/As in the scroller as there's no benefit to the user (assuming that's possible as I've not done any iOS development). It's not as if they are going to purposefully select it
The reason I asked about the colour order is that it's really tricky to locate a specific paint name as they aren't in alphabetical order and there's no obvious reason for the order GW have chosen to list them in either.
I'm trying to piece together accurate colour palettes for each of the paint ranges in Illustrator, so I've been encountering these same issues.

You can PM them to me, sure.
It is possible to hide them. It's just something that wasn't detrimental to releasing the apps asap. I'll get around to hiding them.
Sorting the colors alphabetically is a simple task, however keeping them linked together after sorting is more difficult. I'll get it done, but there is no ETA on it.

From what I can gather, the colors in P3's range(s) are intentionally dissimilar from anything found in the other main brand manufacturer's lines. While I'm sure that's useful for finding hues and colors not typically found elsewhere, it does indeed make it quite difficult to create matches for the range. The fact that I have no experience with P3 paints only exacerbates the issue.
If you have experience with the range, please feel free to PM me with color matches that you've found over the years!

I also have this app, it's great, although some of the VGC colors have had their names changed, IE: Scorpy Green is now Escorpena Green, Ice Blue is now Glacier Blue.
There are probably others too, but those are 2 that i found.

The 'N/A's in the lists make the Application look kind of sloppy. I'm guessing this is to keep things simple for you, and I can't complaint too much as, hey, it's free, but it makes the whole thing look a bit unpolished.
Working on someting you'll either love or hate. Hopefully to be revealed by November.
Play the games that make you happy.

I'll change it, thanks.

Hey all. I'm still around-- I've been tied up with real life stuff, unfortunately!
v1.2 UPDATE (11/23/2011):
- Changed some UI elements in the iPhone version
- Allows custom editing for paint range entries via long pressing the buttons.
- Paint range reset and entry resets available via swiping the buttons.
- Available soon
ISSUES:
- Cannot custom edit the Citadel range. This will be fixed soon.
TO COME:
- Alphabetical sorting
- P3 and Coat d'Arms ranges added
- Ability to choose which ranges are displayed.
Sorting alphabetically is difficult using a non-relational database like I am currently. Next version I will have overhauled the backend to allow for easy custom sorting.
Here's a preview:

When you add the P3 paints, that will be so useful for me! I have the GW mega paint set and so will likely be using it to paint my PP figs, but it'd be nice to know what's closest to their recommendations for colors.
App noob / non-techy-person question... can I use this on a computer (PC)?

Not natively, no. I suppose there's nothing stopping you from downloading the Android simulator that we devs use to test apps on... Unfortunately the iPhone simulator is exclusive to Mac OS X, however.
