Would you like to see Specialist games released as boxed sets a la Dreadfleet?
I'd buy every single specialist game if GW did this
I'd buy one or 2 specific games that I enjoy or am interested in
I have no interest in anything GW
While I enjoy GW, I'm not interested in Specialist Games

They don't sell them because they think they will encourage people to play small games and not the big ones with big investment. They are hardly going to let someone else make them...

Think of what FFG could do with Mordhiem and Necromunda. It'd be amazing.

I'd buy the lot (and probably at least 4 copies of Mordheim if it contained a complete set of limited edition terrain), although limited-release boxed games are absolutely not the way to go about doing them. They do need extra releases beyond the basic boxes.

I think there is definite demand for Mordheim, Epic, Necromunda, Blood Bowl and BFG. As for Gorkamorka, Inquisitor and Warmaster... great games, but I can't see them being very popular, as much as I'd personally love to see Warmaster redone properly with plastic sprues and things.

I think Mordheim and Necromunda are the two best bets for GW, due to their scale.

Mordheim is already well-catered for, it just needs an updated rulebook (possibly with more warbands to cover all the warhammer armies), and a set of plastic ruins.

Necromunda.. again, rulebook, modular plastic terrain kit, and then the gangs each be could be released as 5-model boxes with tons of different options.

GW don't think of the terrain with these games. Sure, 10-20 models isn't a lot, but people tend to make up for that by buying more terrain... I wonder who they think they're selling all these Empire-themed-with-skulls buildings to?

That's exactly what I thought when I read "sell the rights to these games to a company".

I looked at them a bit, but due to lack of support left it at just getting a model here and there for other game systems. I'd like to see what FFG could do with BFG.

I'd be ok with that. Either GW doing it or Fantasy Flight doing it.

As much as I would love to see these games happen it will take revenue from their core products which is why they are not supported like they should be.

Instead we get Dread Fleet and they are still not moving at my local GW store.

I agree with this totally. If GW can't do it, farm it out so the gaming community get behind it.

Its such a waste to have great games that are no longer supported

I'd go for:

Space Marine
Gorkamorka
BFG
Blood Bowl

More than a couple, but I wouldn't buy the whole lot - some simply hold no interest for me.

Enough of the pirates of the carribean stuff. If GW would support necromunda I would buy a boxed set if not simply to expand the cool necro and other really awesome card terrain they used to make. I am also interested in mordhiem and would prolly fork out for that too, the genre for that black powder van helsing style is cool. the foundation for the games are there. I haven't playd morhiem(looks cool) but man I itch for necromunda bad, that game is awesome, just needs to be cleaned up a bit and SUPPORTED. As many have said already the specialist games can be an entry way into the larger scale stuff like 40k, Warhammer and Apoc. let people test the waters and get a feel for things. Not many people want to go "hey theres this cool board game, I'm gonna go spend X hundred dollars on pieces then spend hours putting everything together then get stomped on by the people that have been doing it longer until i get a grasp of the game." Specialist games would most likely help GW sales but who are we, its not like we're their customers.

Right here, along with a few other classics. This page is hidden even better than the other SG downloads for some reason.

Fantastic! I erect a small shrine in your honour Blackfang

EDIT - Ironically the support for Gorkamorka in terms of miniatures and boxed sets available is a thousand times better than when the game was released. New project!

What they don't give you, for whatever reason, is the expansion "Digganob". If you need that you'll have to look elsewhere.

I'm of two minds about this, I'd love to see Necro and Mordheim re-released, but only if it's matched with general re-release of the models as part of the regularly distributed lines.

None of these games would do well if they were sold like Dreadfleet or Spacehulk with the addition of just a few resin kits. If they were to be successfull, games like Necro, Mordhiem, Epic and Warmaster need what they originally had. A box set and full-line-support. They may be a different scale, with a smaller line of figs, but they aren't one-off, boardgame-type products.

I wouldn't buy any game released in the molds of Deadfleet, except perhaps Warhammer Quest.

But if by any miracle GW decided to re-release either BFG, Necromunda, Mordheim or Warmaster in their original format (base box with scenery + 2 forces with a complete lineup backing it up), I would pick them up in a heartbeat.

Unfortunatly that will never happen.

Indeed, but a bit of googlefu has solved that problem

Necromunda...and heres what Id like to see:

New books, some new fluff, leave the rules alone

2 new plastic gangs, same quality as Space Hulk...make 1 Escher, other I dont care

New plastic terrain, would also be useful to 40k players

Keep the price more like Space Hulk, not Dreadfleet

Whats my game?
Warmachine (Cygnar)
10/15mm mecha
Song of Blades & Heroes

Indeed.

On an Express Elevator to Hell!!

Some of (if not the) finest games GW has ever made are in the Specialist Games section.

Of course, any re-release of Necromunda, Mordheim, BFG, Epic, Gorka Morka, (hell even Dark Future) I would pick up in a heartbeat.

So many great games, big weapons in GW's arsenal, and it's a shame that so many newcomers to the hobby have probably barely even heard of them, let alone play them.
