Mine was probably beating Marines with my Tyranids, starting with blowing up a Land Raider with one spore mine from one biovore (with the REAL biovore that let you run all three kinds) and killing the entire unit inside. First turn and it was all over but the shouting.

Lone Salamanders assault marine charges a full unit of kroot with hounds. Kroot don't hit. Salamander kills 1. Kroot fail their morale check, fall back, and get run down by Salamander.

I believe that model got converted into a veteran sergeant.

You may want to re-read Living Lightning. It's not actually even capable of killing 10 grots, let alone having an appreciable chance of killing a majority of them.

Marbo sneaks up to a squad of termies in the open, goes to throw his charge only for it to blow up in his hand.

I had aimed it on a termie about 5 inches away. The charge scattered 5 inches straight back towards marbo. He was smack in the center, then failed his gtg cover save.

Biggest fluke, i think my melta vets w/ shot guns shooting a tryanid trygon, only wounding it twice. with no other option but to see them go next turn, decided to assault. surprisingly, the trygon fell to the ground, and, i only lost two vets. that will never happen again, no matter what.

I have a few candidates here...

- Changeling for causing Captain Shrike to be shot in the back by one of his own men. The man in question had a lascannon.
- Platoon Sergeant for punching Korsorro Khan in the nuts with his power fist, then surviving to tell the tale. The Captain was obviously too busy going 'owwwwwwwwwwwww' to chase him down.
- Same Platoon Sergeant taking down an Eldar Autarch in close combat. "Why does you sniper squad have a power fist?" NEVER ASK THAT QUESTION!
- Random lone Tactical Marine killing a Fortuned Eldrad using only his bolt pistol and his bare hands
- Another random lone Tactical Marine surviving a Demolisher Cannon hit, then destroying the offending tank with a krak grenade
- Devastator Squad with lascannons taking out a Terminator Assault Squad in close combat. It was me that charged!

Yeah, I've played LOTS of games.

Coolest (if not luckiest) moment ever was killing the Swarmlord with a Demolition Charge.

Mine would have to be from ye olden days of 2nd ed 40k. For those who are unaware in 2nd ed you had the chance to flip vehicles and cause them to careen out of control and ramming other vehicles when you destroy them. I had a lowly Guardsman with a missile launcher take out a majority of my opponents Ravenwing force with a single shot. He shot a biker, causing it to crash into two other bikes. The chain reaction that this caused wiped out 2/3rds of my opponents army. It was glorious indeed.

He rolled 11 1's.

My three (put one on the shaper) survivors passed thier test, then managed to chew through most of an assault squad.

Old Canoness against Abaddon. He was down to two wounds from a previous combat. Canoness fires a plasma pistol and manages to deal a wound to him, but it then appeared to seem it would be in combat range and thus kill the Canoness easily. He charges and is 2" out (was on the ground floor of ruins, Canoness on the second). Canoness fires, hits then it saves. Abaddon fails to climb up again. Canoness climbs up a floor then fires again, Abaddon saves. He manages to get to the second floor, but not to the third and in combat again. Canoness takes the final shot and takes him down.

The other tie being the time an Ork trukk raced towards a sister superior on foot with a CC and Bolt Pistol in a 4 way free for all kill team. She fires the pistol imbobilising the Trukk. Orks climb out and now have to run through bolter fire the rest of the way in the open.

Kharn the Betrayer assaults 5 Salamander Terminators plus Vulkan along with 8 berserker friends.

He rolls 5 1's to hit and kills 4 buddies, first thing in the combat.

At least the enemy failed to save the two remaining attacks with storm shields, and the next turn went mostly my way. He ended up being the single survivor or that cc. And then got vaped by a meltagun.

In Boxing matches, you actually get paid to take a dive and make the other guy look good.

In Warhammer 40K, you're expected to pay cash out of your pocket for the privilege of having Marines and IG trample all over your Xenos/Chaos.

I had one like this!
Marbo poppped up behind my hammerhead, threw his det charge, and it scattered off the tank and back onto his head. Followed by a 10 strong psyker battle squad firing thier blast at the hammerhead, and scattering back onto Marbo. Followed by a plasmacutioner firing at the hammerhead. Two hit, the other three scattered back onto Marbo.
Oddly enough, even though most of this guy's army fired at him, Marbo managed to survive, and then got gunned down by the burst cannons on said happy hammerhead.

Isn't Marbo a great character?
