I can support a little 'price bigotry' but I'm much more interested in "investment". There may not be a lot of MONEY in those, but they have time and effort in them.
Also, the TO would be within his rights to ask for proof that all your polystyrene came from GW boxes, which would be hard to present. Sprue Necrons however don't have that issue.

That is awesome and really creepy at the same time.

Having stared at this for 2 days, I think I would still totally allow those sprue scarabs in a regular Necron army. A little paint, maybe a GS 'head' and they look like the kind of thing that would eat my tank and make more scarabs out of it. Another thread compared them to the Replicators from StarGate.
