Personally, I only buy singles now. If I'mma play, I'mma play specifically with the pieces I want and don't want to sift through crap and multiple boosters to do it.

Haven't really been looking at sets yet, will know more when these lots arrive. From the look of what he had on display there is a lot there.

A little cautious, as sometimes folks stretch how many they have. Which is fine if you are telling your mates about a collection, not so much when selling on ebay.

However, if there is around 400 Clix, and it is as varied as it looks, then I will be happy. Certainly a mix of new and old figs though, and Marvel and DC.

I agree. I bought 2 starters for $3.75 each (clearance, ebay) just to get things started...but from here on out its likely to be specific singles.

I bought the Darkest Night Starter for the rulebook and the figs. I was happy about that one cause none of the other starters they have out now attract me.

I'm looking forward to Master Mold coming out, but that's cause I'm such a Sentinel nerd(I bought 3 of the original when they were released and I'm looking to order the 2 newer ones despite being smaller than the previous versions).

Colors are the same, so are the team abilities. As I said before, the cards are only necessary for white powers, altered standard powers, and having the keywords handy.

However, be aware that a few of the older sets used a style of paper for the dials that has photo-degraded over time, causing them to become splotchy. As well, some of the dyes used for the light green powers shaded it so light they're hard to tell from the yellow of the same era. This is one advantage of the cards in that if this happens the card will still tell you which the correct power is.

Hey guys played loads 300points of heroclix today.
I Used:
Viper 91points: http://images.trollandtoad.com/products/pictures/315461.jpg
Nomad 63 Points: http://images.trollandtoad.com/products/pictures/315451.jpg
Deadshot 89 Points: http://images.trollandtoad.com/products/pictures/303978.jpg
and did use 50point spiderman
Other than spiderman been rubbish.
The top 3 did really AWESOME
So I have 53 Points because I don't want to use spiderman. Maybe somebody that offers hindering terrain for deadshot as he is really good well in terrain.
So if people could try find somebody to use be fantastic.

It is a fun game, but VERY expensive if you really get into it. I am talking it can be every bit as expensive as 40K, especially with the way NECA is putting out
expansions every 3 months.

Sure, you can just get a starter set and be done with it. But a lot of people get fiendish, and want to buy everything.

I dove in with both feet, and spent over 3K in under 6 months on it. I played it, decided I couldn't afford to keep up with it and 40K, and sold it all.

I ended up coming out about even after I sold everything. I spent a good amount of the procedes buying a nicely painted Grey Knight army, and a bunch of stuff for my Dark Eldar.
To give you an idea of how much single figures can go for, I sold 1 Superman figure for $140, and 1 Spiderman figure for $50.00. We are talking about a 3" piece of plastic of mediocre detail and china
sweat shop painted.

It is not worth the money. If it was a non-collectible boxed board game with lots of figures, it would be worth it.

Mr Kairos. I have quite alot models alreay. I am just collecting the models I like the look of and are good in game and hopefully sell the rest. To either buy rares or to go towards my 40k army.
Thanks for looking guys and keep posting,

Yes. If you start to go the collective route it will be a lot more expensive than 40K. I easily spent over £4000 on Star Wars minis over a 5 year period. Heroclix could be the same.

But... you don't have to collect the rare minis. The quality is average at best and you are just paying for the rarity. In-game they are not generally any better than some of the regular figures you can pick up cheap as singles.

I'm starting to get into Heroclix now but are just going to concentrate on a handful of commons and some of the starter set minis. I'm not playing the collective game again.

I do and don't agree. Some of the individual figures are not worth it for the quality IMO. BUT if you get lots of enjoyment out of the game that doesn't really matter. I know that I have certainly paid more than a figures worth on more than one occasion (with Star Wars minis that is).

Apologies for talking positively about games I enjoy.

Suffolk, where the Aliens roam.

Well the first box arrived, (two lots 300 approx on foot, 2nd 100 approx on flying bases) this was the foot one and it had 310 figs.

So yeah happy with that, less than 30p a fig, and obviously not a random guess by the seller.
Also happy with the contents, I'd guess ther are between 240-270 that have no doubles of any kind, obviously counting yellow, blue and red as seperate figs.

As to individual heroes represented, I'd say there is somewhere in the region of 150 and 170. My guess is this can't have been random booster buys, or at least not all of it was, as It seems nigh on unbelievable to have this many figs with so few redundant doubles, or sets of all three experiences.

The nice surprise was two limited rares and twelve ulta rares, which I wasn't expecting as he was selling some silvers seperately.
Good ones as well, five members of the Injustice League for example, which I seem to remember from my last time in Heroclix, some teams where made difficult to collect due to rarites.
Also backs my thoughts not all of these guys came from random boosters.

Looking forward to seeing what turns up in the flying box, hopefully tomorrow. Typical of the mail services though, two boxes sent from the same place to my address with same postage, and one turns up today, not both.

Not really been looking, but I suspect I'll pick up the odd booster from now on.

The flyers turned up today, 104 in total, nine doubles, so not bad at all. Got two limited, five Ultras and a good mix of others, seems a lot of the JLA are flyers, went from five to fourteen affiliated guys this morning. .

Good result, and all the boys have been talking about for the past 24hrs is which Superhero is the best, and how they can't wait to play it this weekend.

Mess with them. Throw M. Bison into your force.

"If you really want to know what it was like, to fight in the air in the great War, then go up to someone you have never met and who has never done you the slightest harm and pour a two-gallon tin of petrol over them. Then apply a match, and when they are nicely ablaze, push them from a fifteenth-floor window after first perhaps shooting them a few times in the back with a revolver. And be aware as you are doing these things that ten seconds later someone else will quite probably do them to you. This will exactly reproduce... the substance of First World War aerial combat and will cost your country nothing. It will also avoid the necessity of ten million other people to die in order for you to enjoy it."
