@Valgaurd-haha, I think I got the message the first time thanks!

To everyone:

Sorry I know I said that I would be updating soon, but I just moved and school/new rutines/lack of materials/lack of time have kept me from my hobby... We'll see what I can get done.

OK, I'm back! I swear! For real this time It's been a while, sorry about that.
So first off, as you can see, I am now in Hong Kong, so I've been away from 40k for a while, but only because I haven't found place to play that speaks English, I've heard a rumor there is a place somewhere which isn't too far away, and I should be going there this weekend. But, I don't expect them to speak English either, so what am I to do? Well, the school where I'm at is actually an international school, and they all speak really good english. So being the avid gamer I am I introduced some kids to the game, and they showed interest, next thing I know one of them bought Dark Vengeance
To make a short story shorter, I am now starting a "club" the problem is that I have no terrain here... So I have been busy building it.

So, as you can see all of this is WIP, but right now I still don't have any paint... so they probably won't be painted for a while

Here's another one I'm working on.

Bad photos...

Thats all for now, I'll try to keep you guy's posted on what comes next, sorry this took so long... Thanks for reading!

Great use of resources, mate. I love it, it makes me want to do something similar!

Try doing the ground with a mix of PVA and sand, that works great!

LOOK!! a shameless self-promotion! (gasp!)

Not bad, good use of house-hold items. it'll certainly keep you going .

Always a slight concern with cardboard and undercoating though...It go a bit soggy. Not sure on that though, I'm sure I've always been advised to avoid cardboard where possible when building terrain (?).

@MrMerlin- Thanks man! I might try that, but I'll have to get the sand...
@evildrcheese-Hmmm, I have had a problem with in the past too... But I have nothing else at the moment to use for bases,

Anybody got any suggestions For bases that won't get soggy)? It can't be anything that requires a saw, (ie wood, or something similarly hard) because I don't have a saw.
Thanks!

So, I've had little time to work on my Orks, but I did have an Idea, I wanted a painboy model for my Nobz, because... I did anyways, this is what I came up with

He's still a WIP, but I thought you might have some suggestions for me, also when looking at him again he looks more like a Mekboy... But I guess da' boyz won't know the difference!

Before you spray that building, make sure to seal the styrofoam bits with some PVA glue. Spray paint will actually eat away at it, and you'll likely end up with some misshapen lumps of foam on your base!

@ Brother SRMSeal it? You mean to basically cover it entirely in glue (albeit lightly) and wait for it to dry? Hmmm, I didn't even think of that, thanks mate!

And I've decided to use foam board for the buildings now, because It looks neater, and it cuts easier, and it doesn't warp when painting.

Pics up... soonish?

That's the plan! You can also use a latex-based paint to seal it if you want.

Actually, cardboard doesn't soak up. I've worked with it before, it was fine. But I didn't use primer, I just brushed some cheap paint on it....

Hmmm, I might have gone overboard with the paint last time come to think of it... I'll just have to see what happens (its not like I'm going to throw everything away )

So, my brothers and I have always loved playing tabletop Wargames, and as such we have explored many of them, well I say "we" in reality its my younger brother, who trolls the entire internet for games that we can play. Unfortunately funds have always been rather tight, and so we don;t play most of the games he finds, but Necromunda has been one that we adopted. Now, we don't use the figures that GW sells... I don't really like them, and they are to expensive, so instead we use my orks for the gangs. This is pretty simple, because they come outfitted with many weapons, and if I don't have one which we need I usually just kustomize' 'em to work. Then my brother decided he wanted to play the Ratskins. These blokes are extremely different from all the other gangs, and as a result we needed dramatically different new figures. He had read that one of the best sheep proxies for them were Kroot, and sense he plays the tau, we had quite a few models to work with. The probelm came when we realized that pretty much all of the Kroot models were practically identical. so I took it upon myself to make him some new models. well at least to kustamize 'em in my own way.
Unfortunately most of my pictures didn't upload, and that means that I don;t have many to put up right now, but more will come later.
The gang boss with a shotgun

Regular guy... I think that's a musket...

More pictures up soon,
Oh, and our 40k "club" is starting up, we have our first games today (time to stomp some noobs )

Ok, so I still don't have the pictures of the Kroot up yet, but I do have some more terrain!
This is all foam board (duh) and I still haven't based it yet...

If you're wondering why there's a door on the second floor, I assure you, there is a reason... just stay tuned

And this one has a base, but I still haven't put and rubble onto it yet.

And a sneak preview at the next update -Boss Snikrot-

@MrMerlin- Cheers!

Ok, so as promised, I have always liked independant/special characters, and as a result I have attempted to make a few. But none of the projects ever left the ground. And to be honest i'm not even sure why I mad Snikrot... I don't even have any Kommandos... Either way, here he is.

-Boss Snikrot-

CC Challenge!

He is not as good as he could be, but all I had to work with was a carpet knife some bits and my imagination. His finger is actually a shoota boys thumb
I was pretty pleased with him over all, what do you think?
C&C welcome!

Keep it up.

My only real complaint of Snikrot is the fact that you used a boy instead of a Nob. Those kind of mistakes always urked me though.

Well, he'll make a good Kommando if you do get another Nob body and decide to try Snikrot again Snikrot is also on a 40mm base from memory - he's better than your average Nob! (well, maybe except the Power Klaw toting ones...) Otherwise - nice work (apart from the mould lines - you are cleaning those up right?)

It's not thread necro if it's your own thread right?

Whatever. P&M have immunity from that kinda junk.

So, I thought I'd show you guys what I've been up to for the past few days. As any good ork player knows, you need to have lots of dakka for your ork army to be orky. I've had my eye on this model ever since GW put it on the market. It is the epitome of ork. Symbolizing both Gork and Mork in one body. And I finally got it.

Of course this is a P&M blog, so you'll pardon the fact that I'm not quite finished with him yet. But I was really excited to share what I've been able to get done so far. (I've only had it for a total of three days now )

I'm moving next year, (going to college! woot! I'll be even more broke! ) So I decided to make packing this monster easier, and I magnetized all the bits on that way I have less of a worry that it will fall apart.

Oh and then there's my dread. I just painted him as well.

Had to magnetize this bit... kept falling off

C&C are welcome.
Cheers,
~Sir William

Subbed!

The boss (the dok's creation) is hilarious - I love it!

Fantastic and inspiring tankbustas too, certainly cheaper than the finecast ones from GW...

The armies that I collect:

- Tyranids, 2,000 pts.
- Orks, 1,250 pts.
- Tau, 750 pts.
- Guard (PDF), 750 pts.

(Yes I have a thing for horde armies to some extent)
