The posing would make her tricky to use as a blank without cutting her arms off.

But I honestly can't see any better use for this mini. She's not posed as a 'pin-up', and the action pose with boots and a scarf and nothing else on just makes no real sense. It's nudity for the sake of nudity, and with the awkward posing not a nice enough sculpt to be worth buying for that.

It's puzzling. Vinni can clearly turn out some nice work, so I don't understand why he keeps releasing stuff like this.

Only other reason (other than "I like buying nude models because they are nude") might be to have a model where you can practice shading, shadows, highlights for your skin tones (which are some of the hardest things to paint IMO).

Now THATs a lass that can drop her bombs on me anyday of the week!

Yeah, but if that's what you're after, Hasslefree have much nicer nude models. Even just painting for practice, I would want something that I'm going to be happy to see in my cabinet.

Agreed - I'm currently painting a Reaper's 72mm "urban Legend Sophie" for that exact purpose, following the guide in the Hot Lead DVDs.

What amazes me is that Vinnis "Fallout" series are so spectacular (and they are great...I've got some)...and then he goes to the other extreme with some of his other sculpts. I mean, beautifully sculpted body, but WHY?

Maybe there's a big Russian or European market for this kind of thing?

Dear god, half the comments on here are as outrageous as the model. Nearly every female mini used in 40K has major sexual fetish overtones to it. If it's not some naked pincered demonette it's B&D nuns with guns, or bald chicks wearing a strip of cloth.
I have to wonder if the real concern is that she has a big weapon rather than her nudity which is pretty commonplace for female minis.
Heck, we couldn't even have a female commissar without her tits hanging out.
The mini here seems to be a nude version of rocket girl from Schaeffer's Last Chancers.
She would make a good semi-blank for a militia or even guard unit, just add clothes.

The guy's done a nude girl or two with guns. Whatever. You can come up with some silly justification for those, but whatever floats your boat. It's just really bizarre that this is a naked woman with a rocket launcher. The fact that it's a huge anti tank gun and not just a pistol or whatever is what pushes it from kind of silly to goddamn ridiculous. A girl might have been in the shower, heard a noise, and picked up a gun before she got dressed. There's some justification for you. However, I sincerely doubt a woman would have an AT-4 lying around her living room, propping up the coffee table's wobbly leg.

Also, a daemon being naked makes sense. Calvin Klein doesn't make pants meant to fit nightmares.

Female soldier who either sleeps naked, is in the shower or whatever when the base comes under attack. She only has time to pull on her boots, tie her hair back and pick up her weapon.

It's not actually a bazooka, it's a collapsible pole with built in sound system and she's the night's entertainment.

As for nude demons, nudity even then isn't acceptable for male demons if it shows any male type genitalia. There was a huge outcry about some bull demon that had visible balls. Funny stuff.

She is not naked, she is wearing a headband. Sheesh guys.

Surely the missile launcher is a phallic symbol, showcasing her having to overcome the prejudice of being a woman (as symplified by her nakedness) in the traditional male role of soldier (as symbolized by the penis aka missile launcher).

The thing that gets me about this sculpt is that she had enough time to beautifully tie her bandanna but left everything else off except her boots.

I would suggest that if she'd just got out of the shower, she would grab her knickers before her bandanna...

...if she was completely naked apart from boots (you'd throw your boots on in a rush), it could possibly be explained (I guess)... but her boots look properly secured as well.

The sculpting is good but the concept, no matter how hard you try to justify it, is ridiculous.

This could only be a nude model on a photo-shoot with a rocket launcher... pure titillation for the T 'n' A crowd.

I actually like the shower idea. Having an athletic female model weilding a gun in a side ways diving pose while her towell falls off to reveal her body could be a really neat and dynamic piece. The Commisar was ridiculous because that is the OPPOSITE of maintaining discipline. A missle launcher can burn you with the backblast, and the idea of being naked for that... yeesh.

A small collection of women either naked or wearing only scraps of cloth but wearing collars, chains, and wielding weapons would also be neat, because at least then we have the idea of female POW's or civilians fighting for their freedom despite their vulnerability. Sort of like the GW slave girl mini who has a jagged piece of metal hidden in her hand. Vulnerable, but not defenseless. There is also the idea of using nakedness as a distraction in a fight, but that is really only useful in a skirmish, not in a large scale conflict. Like in Ghost in the Shell when Major Kusanagi took out that target naked.

Very nicely sculpted, and clearly someone is buying these, but I personally don't "get it".

I dont see why theres so much fuss, people that paint minis pay good money for good sculpts and alot of them dont care about how or where this fits in.
He would not be making them if he was not selling them surely, there also may be some point to this mini that we dont get, too, ever thought about that ?
