Not much to update photo wise, spent the last 2 days, stripping and cleaning mold lines on some boyz from a trade on dakka as ll as getting most of the mold line cleaning and assembly done on a gw trukk, pics tommorow of the magnitizing I did on the trukk so far as well as working out the magnitizing on my deffkoptas.

So... Got some work done on the stompa... not perfect but i like the shape its taking. the right shoulder will also serve as a defcopta landing bad so more supports to come, the belly gun looks good to me but not sure about the teeth ive added... started bulking out the exhause a little in prep for more pipes to come.



Got my first copta magnitized and a few bits added for some custom flair but mostly straight forward on this one, next one will get some more heavy modding though as i think them all being the same would be a waste.


Truck is almost together, not mids really just some magnitizing, the gunner, ball and planks will also be magnitized and there will be some cosmetic mods like mesh added to the open windows and such but mostly stock as i really like the model out of the box. U can see the ram and eavy armor plates are magnitized sofar.



The backs of the bed magnets will get some DS treatment to hide them
And a little update on the trike, got the trike and side car magnitized together, and started fitting the rider and bars, had to trim some seat away and he still sits alittle high cause its a SM bike so imma add some pegs for his feet and gs a housing for the handle bars to meet and make up for the added angle. lotsa lessons learned for the next bike conversion.

Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice. Good use of magnets. I doubt you'll be removing the armour plates...EVER...

Not alot done over the weekend as i was spending time with the wife and kiddo but i did get some work done on the smoke stacks for the stompa, will be adding some bracing to it and it has been magnitized for easier transport.


I also got another trike done... this one is a little longer as its built from a Deffkopta, I think it will be a counts as warbuggie if i can get a gunner mounted on the back. theres a little more done since these pics so the exhaust has been moved and the gun has been mounted in its place, there will be some barrels to come on the fron where the rockets were aswell as some armouring of the front wheel area... what yall think so far?

the stacks look great, perfect for that stompa, and im really loving the shape of the bike so far

Very Nice, ive seen the blades as forks before and this seems to be the most common trike conversion out there so i was trying something different. My DK conversion is also ment to be a warbuggie as its very long compared to a standard bike. i will have a few converted similer to yours soon though as i think its a better look thatn the standard... gotta add some Dakka guns though! Where are the wheels from? they look great! Wheels are one of the hardest parts for me to get as Ebay is 2 expensive at almost 2.00 per wheel and i don't have access to any good used toys to scavange.


PS... Not much comeing in the next few days as My household goods are arriving tommorow so i will have about 4000lbs of stuff to unpack... the good news is that all my supplys and paints are in there so i will be able to get more done once i am unpacked....

I remember the last few times I moved- nightmarish to see ALL of my stuff packed up. Really puts a perspective on just how very obsessive I've been in this hobby.

I purchased a KR case for my minis and packed all my supplies in small Rubbermade tubs myself so i wouldnt have to worry about it, its just a matter of unpacking and getting it all to fit into a smaller space than before... My wife was nice enuff to give me my own "Man Cave" as she calls it on our apartment to atleast all my hobbies are combined into one room... but that means, Gaming puter with Duel monitors, drumset, Modeling stuff and collectables all in 1 bedroom... i really dont want to model on my computer desk (i'm anal about my computer and clutter) so this might take a little trial and error for all of it to fit. once i get it all set up i will post some pics of my work station and get back to work on my Orks! see you all in a few days when the boxes are gone and the dust has settled!

Got my stuff set up and starting back in on the modeling. Another custom bike kit bash in the works and a little more work on the stompa. As for painting, I am planning to go with evil suns clan and maybe some freebooters commandos but nothing set in stone. My painting skills are not great so lotsa washs, dry brushing etc... I haven't decided for sure though. Had also tout of maybee going cartoonish on the paint scheme and less realistic just to be diff.

Little more work, Painted my first ork ever. converted nob to lead my looted wagon team.
little more work to do but i like it sofar, need to highlight a little more but you can ge the jist, please c&c but keep in mind i have only painted about 30 models ever and this is my first in over a year.

finished the looted/custum buggie. the gunner is an old bloodaxe model with arm converted to hold the rail, he is magnitized aswell.

made 2 more bikes aswell, both converted from SM bikes, Pretty light conversions but i like it, the first is a "stunt rider" poping whellies, the other just a minor mod to stretch it and make it a little more chopper like, still gotta do the guns.

at last is the start to another buggie, just the base sofar but my plan is to make it look something like the warthog in halo but orky.

these bikes are so cool its not even funny!

Yea, I know... Rivets, I made some that I didn't like, need to get some smaller plastic arid rods. It's on e reason none of my vehicles are painted yet.

This technique will take practice, but it has worked for me in the past. Take a toothpick and tab off small lumps of glue from the bottle, letting to dry. Once dried, you can glue it on !

Can't wait to see more of your work! I hope it'll be "riveting"!

Based my nob, What yall think? took the idea from the base in another post on Dakka so i can't take full credit for the idea but i like how it turned out.

Job interview today and some house work to get done so prob no updates for a couple days. in the mean time what yall think of the ork and dread? i have 2 more dreads and 3 kans in the planning stage, aswell as a custom built dakkajet from a valkyrie some deffcoptas and random bits from the gw dakka jet.
