There is no question-Loyalty to the Emperor!

We Black Templars are dispatching a crusade to fix any contrary opinions in this thread :p

I play both. I enjoy both. I will happily continue to play and enjoy both, until Dust Warfare steals me away from the evil that is GW. It's not too far away now...

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Traitor.

Because I like chainswords and the rest of my group are loyalist.

Also, loyalists need their nemesis.

Loyalists, because the Traitors are a bunch of herp-derps mostly.

What's wrong with them during the Horus Heresy has been said, but currently:

1) Angron is getting bitchslapped by 100 GKs.
2) Fulgrim is sitting around.
3) Perturabo is sitting around.
4) Magnus is sitting around.
5) Konrad Kurz is dead.
6) Alpharius is sitting around.
7) Mortarion is getting bitchslapped by 1 GK.
8) Lorgar is sitting around.
9) Horus is dead, and Abbadon is bouncing huge armies repeatedly off of a single Imperial world.

Or so he'd like you to think (Alpha legion has been pretty active)

I'd go traitor, rather them then a bunch of backwards intolerant jerkwads.

Gods? There are no gods. Merely existences, obstacles to overcome.

Its better to die for the Emperor than to live for yourself! I voted Loyalist since I have two chapters of Sm sitting near my desk. And the fact that I hate fitly warp worshiping oafs with a zealous passion.

On moon miranda.

*** the Horus Heresy books, some of them are solid but a lot are garbage unfortunately. I really felt that whole event should have been left to myth and imagination. It's become too..."explained", and lost much of its interest as a result, and the motivations are poorly done in many instances.

That said, Chaos just sounds so much more...interesting. The loyalist marines are all just so...boring.

Quotes like this is really why the Traitor Legions have character, **** the Heresy fluff.

We fight the long war, not through vain notions of duty or honour, but through a far purer purpose: Hatred. At the height of our glory we were betrayed and cast out by our own kin. Guilliman, Dorn, Sanguinius - These are name I curse. Horus, Perturabo, Angron - these are names I revere, names I would follow to the very end. It is hatred that has sustained me through the long millenia. I tend it with bitterness. I nurture it with the deaths of my former brothers. For I know that when the end is upon us and Horus is returned, then the False Emperor shall be cast down from his sepulchral Golden Throne, and we shall take our rightful place at the side of Horus, the true Emperor of Mankind.

IRON WITHIN, IRON WITHOUT.

New Heavy Gear Log! Also...Grey Knights!
The correct pronunciation is Imperial Guard and Stormtroopers, "Astra Militarum" and "Tempestus Scions" are something you'll find at Hogwarts.

I had to go with the traitors after reading through Lord of the Night. I really love their betrayed and used feel for why they turned against the emperor.

Following the Night Haunter's true vision, Ave Dominus Nox!

I would also like to thank all those crazy gamers with too much money to spend that buy hundreds of the same marine models, paint them different colours and pretend they are different armies. You are the heroes upon whose backs the future of GW sales is assured.

Loyal simply for stability, too many traitors die or never reach demon-prince-hood to make it a valid career path.

Traitor.

Would you rather be a millenia-old World Eater that's just owned face on more planets than you can count, or some Imperial Fist that serves a crumbling bloated bureaucracy?

Answer is fairly clear here.

Shoot b****, democracy's at stake.

Somewhere dark, cold and scary (A.K.A my mind)

Traitor, but only for Nurgul. out of all the gods (including the Emperor and the gods of the xenos races) he is the only on who cares about those who worship him.

but apart from that I'm an Ork player through and through (all hail Gork and Mork!!!).

May your rolls be high and your victories countless
