10 days is more than enough time for that. Built in 1 night, undercoated and possibly based the next, painted in the following 1-2 nights, then based if not done already

4. Clean and reorganize workspace - Complete, switching my paints to my right has been really nice and I feel like I have a lot more space over all
5. Acquire transport/stowage for SM and SoB - Complete, KR Multicase is awesome. just over $130 for three cases that provide transport for my entire SM, SoB and Infinity forces.

Another update:
Seraphim are getting very close to done and I'm adding my penitent engine to this month's challenges.

1. learn about using green stuff and use it.
2. learn about building stuff outta plasticard And build some stuff.
3. finish my heavy weapons team.

Okay, Penitent Engine probably isn't gonna magically happen in a week XD, that is a singularly complex model!

My goal is getting very close...I finished Typhus on Sunday:



The Crassus is getting its camo-stripes and I have 5 more days to finish the detailing. I am doing both of my new vehicles at the same time... meet the Punisher:



Custom-built turret, turned out to be a little taller than I would like, but I guess that is because of the ammo hopper, it has to feed 20 dice into that gun every turn!

Holy cow! That Typhus is sickeningly good and your scratch built Punisher turret... well it's well beyond my capabilities for scratch building or converting that's for sure!

On another note, turns out I lied to myself and completed the Penitent Engine today. I'm rather pleased with how the flames came out.

Hello Fellas!

I realize its a little late in the month, but I want to finish basing my Astral Claws Command Squad. Im using sand, glue, static grass and field grass. Ill post tonight with the results.

Is it too early to start the goals for next month?

1. Finish converting my Rhinos for the Astral Claws. Adding old OOP Rhino side doors to existing Rhinos sides.
2. Assuming my bits from PuppetsWar show up...(going on a month in shipping now) I will finish 2 units of Space Marines Tactical.

Thats all I want to do this month..We'll see if it happens..

i vow to finish painting my dark vengeance models which include 15 more meat-shieldy cultists, and to finish up the rest of my oh-so-intricate chosen (4 left!), and maybe in the middle spruce up the rest of my army for dakka to see :p

>>KalashnikovMarine, Thanks for the comment on Typhus, worked like crazy to bring that off. Scratch-building is actually quite easy, it just takes a little practice. Plasticard is cheap and you only need a straight-edge with a metal side and an x-acto with a fresh blade. Give it a shot!

I posted the completed Typhus above, here is the Crassus. The HK missile on the top is magnetized, and the little wire pin you see on the top left of the Command module is for a scratch-built, pintle-mounted Heavy Stubber (just like the one on the Punisher, above):



I am not super happy with the camo, I need an airbrush, but for the model itself I love it to pieces. It looks okay on the table, and that is what matters.

The next big project is going to be a Daemon Prince for my Word Bearers, based on this Dystopian Wars "Titan" model:

Who is going to start the December Vows thread? I am planning on turning my focus back to the rest of my Word Bearers and maybe a Land Raider...

Those heads came in from PuppetsWar Friday night, and the marine squad was constructed last night!!
Pics to follow this afternoon.

I vow next ( this ) month to :

1. Paint the squad of Marines that were constructed last night.
2. Bases for the same squad.
3. Model another squad of Marines with the heads from Scibor.
4. Paint said squad.
5. Bases for the same squad.
6. Paint Rhinos for both squads.
7. Paint Champion of Khorne on Juggernaught.
8. Base for Champion.
9. Paint Soulgrinder.

That looks like a good list...We'll see how much I get accomplished.

December Goals:

1. Build shoulder pads for, and fully paint, Mechanoid Daemon Prince
2. Word Bearers Obliterators
3. Word Bearers Havocs
4. Assemble WB Land Raider & begin painting interior (no more exterior vehicle work 'til I get an airbrush)
5. Write fluff background for WB Characters

That should do it, what with traveling for Christmas and all.
