Winter is coming... or something like that.

So what are your goals, aspirations, pipe dreams for this month? Tackling new projects? Continuing current ones? Lets hear it!

I will see about getting a Queek Headtaker and Lord Spinetail clean and built. I might throw in a random IG tank for fun too... gotta love the treads...

Just need to paint up a few random things to give as gifts to my friends to get them interested in 40k. Then right back to painting Dark Vengance!

1: Complete Painting CSM forces. (Currently roughly 50-60% complete.)
1a: Paint Fabius Bile to a state I'm happy with. (10%)
1b: Complete the Big D Megadeus Defiler. (80%)
- 1ba: Paint The Big D.

2: Begin building all models still on a sprue in my continued crusade to have my 18,000 points of models utterly completed.

Paint the rest of my normal battle sisters
Paint a test model for my Space Marines

...We'll see if that happens. Especially with finals and me being a lazy sod.

I did pretty well on my lasts months list which I am happy with. This months for me consits of:

1. Build the Vendetta I bought at the end of last month.
2. Finish my SM Terminator test model I started for the Disciples of Caliban chapter I plan on creating eventually.
3. Paint either a Chimera, the vendetta, the sentinel or a box of troops for my IG army
4. By a Necron Battleforce.

Not much planned really, December is a crazy busy month in terms of doing things especially with christmas around the corner. Should get more done in Janurary when I have little money to go out with

Finish assembling my Woodies and maybe have a unit painted up during the hols.

I posted this part in the Nov thread:

December Goals:

1. Build shoulder pads for, and fully paint, Mechanoid Daemon Prince
2. Word Bearers Obliterators
3. Word Bearers Havocs
4. Assemble WB Land Raider & begin painting interior (no more exterior vehicle work 'til I get an airbrush)
5. Write fluff background for WB Characters

That should do it, what with traveling for Christmas and all.

But then, yesterday, while unpacking my WFB Empire army to start thinking about a mega-battle that we are putting together at the FLGS for Jan. I found some unpainted and unassembled models that I simply must have ready!

So, we'll add:

6. Assemble and paint 3 WFB Empire Mortar units
7. Paint two more archers (I know, WTH didn't I do them when I did the rest?)
8. Finish painting and base 12 more Hangunners (again, I did 20 all at once back in 2001, why not just finish them?)
9. Figure out what to do with the 20 Empire Militia (NIB, really?) that I unearthed (Militia? 40k Chaos Cultists? Ideas, anyone?)

I think that I may be taking the Land Raider off the list, and not do any vehicles 'til I get the airbrush...

- finish up the 6 tac marines I started last month (just need decals and basing)
- assemble and paint a batch of 4 tac marines
- assemble and paint a second batch of 4 tac marines

stretch goals:
- assemble and paint 3 LC devastators
- assemble and paint 3 MM devastators

Paint up the Dark Vengeance Chaplain for my Blood Ravens to the highest possible standard (even using Vallejo Model Neutral Grey to help).

Looking forward to seeing some great pics this month, based on the goals, it should be exciting.

Next thing to tackle is my Cataphractii Terminators and I WANT to say they'll be done by New Years, but considering that the entire squad is going to be my HQ and I want to devote full character level time to each model... yeah, no promises.

I've got one model still in the blister to prep and paint up as a gift for my fiance, either for Christmas or her birthday (early January) - when I end up giving it depends on how quickly I wrap up my non-miniature P&M gift project. After that, it's back to my stuff.

If all goes smoothly, I'd like to finish up the dwarven half (well, more like a third, by model count) of my DKH: Dead Rising set so I can get started on the skeletons in January. Illness and the holiday season rush at work (I'm in a retail setting, even if I don't work standard sales, anymore) have derailed an upswing in my hobby energy, so here's hoping I can buckle down and get things done!

1. Finish converting my Shades unit, and try to finish converting the other one as well.
2. Get the body conversion for my Keeper of Secrets finished and start working on the head.
3. Sculpt the robes for my Daemon Prince and get the wings magnetised and attached. Start working on the cowl.

Really, I'd be happy with just one of those done, as I tend to switch between them indiscriminately. Would like to get my daemon army done before the rumoured new codex comes out in February!

5. Finish a batch of Industrial terrain for the Bugeater GT.

I forgot to add a 10 daemon unit of Bloodletters to the list...they were half finished last month and I want to finish them this month...

I have made some custom bases for our ( my son and mine ) Tau forces..Starship deck plating. And I poured the molds for them this morning so I can cast a large number of them.
Ill post some shots tonight in my Gallery.
I made single sized bases, Dreadnought sized bases and the Oval Flying base as well. ( In preparation for the Uber'Mech for the Tau )

Im taking the fluff out of the Badab Campaign. The Astral Claws brought the Tiger Claws into the chapter and consolidated the forces. I wanted the pictured unit to be from the Tiger Claws. If you have looked at the WIP of the Rhino Composites, I was able to get ahold of the old Empire shields with the Lion head roaring embossed on them. I made a mold and cast a whole bunch of them and glued them to the sides of the vehicles in my chapter. The guys at Scibor make some really sweet side panels and I got some of them as well and put them on my Drop Pods. I'll post more shots tonight.

BTW -- Cybergoat---Did you pick your chapter colors yet?

Seeing how im out of work right now, its a perfect month for me to really buckle down and get my first chaos space marine army going. Ive finnaly got a solid army list that ive been tweaking and finalizing to make a kick ass Khorne warband with a few units that worship Tzneetch. My goal that im going for is to get 2500 points built, sanded, green stuffed and ready to paint by the end of the month. that way i can start to play with them and spread chaos across the empire and continue to pound my buddies Dark Eldar all the way back to what ever shithole they spawned from.

I bought enough Cryx models for a 50pt army on cyber monday, just have to put them together and get them painted! Probably just 15pts at first just so I can play now.

Update: Since the LR has been deleted I am adding in the Empire War Altar (link to pics soon!) and Empire Steam Tank.

I have decided to build the Militia models as archers, with musician and standard, 15 of them anyway...the five with the long, flaring jackets I still don't know what to do with... they might be a good start for creating some more Commissars for my Steel Legion (gratuitous link http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/477288.page )
