yeah, First up I guess is price. the set of 4 brushes W&NS7 costs £35 If you buy in at £40 with G&G you currently get 12 brushes... all double ended so basically 24 brushes. Maybe more if the goals are reached. which I think it will... maybe not as high as kicktrak thinks though! Trying something new? It feels good to be a pathfinding initiator trailblazing pioneer of something new... well we all like being a part of something. Personnaly I backed the project as i want to see G&G succeed as they seem to be very connected with hobbists. I want this to work out and so when the battle boards are relaunched the community will be more interested!?? Panic...

I think it'd be worth the time investment for them to make their main page paint smears the same color as these new ones (blueish-purple or the like) instead of that terribly ugly brown... I know it's been mentioned but I really can't get past it when looking at that page!

Regarding the stand comments some people have made, in the KS comments G&G did mention they are working on a "Sword" type stand for them, not sure if it will be available by the end of the KS but if so would be good to see it as a potential add on.
Good to see this taking off, I can't wait to see them in person and compare to my W&N 7's. Basically, even if they are only "almost" as good, for the price that will be more than good enough for me. If they are about the same quality I think G&G's would be on to a winner. Of course, we're probably denuding the world's population of Kolinsky's with all these different brushes lol.

yeah, New Stretch! This deal keeps getting better all the time! Each Reward From £15.00GBP & above gets one of each of the Pro Studio Specialist 1 Brush & Pro Studio Master Brush Soap. Pro Studio S1 is unique. "This was created and made from suggestions of those among us who hath won Golden Demon awards and countless others." This size 1 Pro Studio Specialist Brush has a custom built handle that is allot shorter in length (not thickness) than our traditional Pro Studio Brush handles, tailored for the wet blending specialists. Smaller than your traditional hobby brush in terms of handle length. Whilst maintaining our superior ferrule and Kolinsky sable hair. Great for those using wet blending techniques frequently on their miniatures. If you do not do wet blending, you just got another very cool size 1 Pro Studio Brush dual end which many of you have asked for an additional unique size 1 which we are proud to deliver. Our smaller handle length still maintains superior grip whilst enabling you to flick to either end faster. We have grown to love this Pro Studio S1 line. This was meant to be released later this year. But you keep breaking barriers and keep innovating the market with your backing. Games & Gears Pro Studio Master Brush Soap 40g This custom made Pro Studio Master brush soap is the start for your Pro Studio care line. Where you use the circle area of the Pro Studio Master Brush soap to clean your brushes. Apply water to your brush and the indented circle area to clean, condition and extend the life of your high quality Pro Studio Brushes. This great quality care product is crafted to insure you have the best care for your Pro Studio sets. Both set products were meant for release end of this year. But you now get to sample these first and once level 5 is unlocked. If you want to purchase multiples of these they will be available in the optional load section once unlocked. Ok this sound very cool and groovy but can you tell me what I am getting so far with my support and backing your kickstarter? Panic...

Did anyone check them out at Templecon?
I'm in the same school of throught as several others, at the price, anything better than "decent" will make this a good buy. Still undecided on the brush stand. It's a fair chunk of the way to one of Back-2-base-ix's MDF tool rack, which can hold musch more than just 7 brushes.

With the new brush and the brush soap this went from excellent to incredible. It really only needs to be about the same as a standard craft brush at these prices. I'm probably going to setup two models of the same type and painting one with my W&N 7's, and another with the G&G's as a review.
In AU, the brushes from my local Art store are $5 and up for a halfway decent synthetic. So this is a steal for me, although I know prices are generally better overseas.

I looked all over the place for them at Templecon several times, all I managed to find were some very generic handouts...

...And the $40K goal has been passed; you now get (another!) extra brush and a piece of brush soap per backer.
Next goal is at $60K - will be announced within ~18H, and it'll take some work to get there with only 7 days to go, but it's very much possible.
Quite curious to see what it'll be; they did throw us a bit of a curve-ball with that shorter no.1 brush in the previous goal (I was very much expecting a 5/0 or something to that effect!)

That might be, but they're just now setting up their own production so they're neither ordering from someone else nor already selling in large quantities via alibaba, I'd say?

Unless these are being manufactured by W&N it's unlikely that they are going to be close to that quality. One of things that I've discovered in my 30+ years of miniature painting - you generally get what you pay for when it comes to brushes. There are other brushes that are of similar quality, but they have similar price tags.
I can see how some might see this design as being helpful, but I think that in the end those Golden Demon winners who helped inspire the creation of these brushes will quickly go back to their preferred brand of single-brush-style brushes. These are going to be hard to maneuver, hard to keep from getting damaged, and otherwise fiddly to work with.

Hey All!
Just clarify a few things.
We make our own brushes. Hence the limited reward to insure we do not reach over capacity at production.
The reason why these are value for money is simple:
1. You are not paying retailer Price
2. You are not paying distributor price
3. You are not paying for trading company price
4. you are not paying just for the brand name
MSRP Price for Set of 5: 000, 00, 0, 1 & 2 £30.00GBP
MSRP Price for set of 7: 000, 00, 0, 1, 2, 3LX, 4RX £44.00GBP
To hit retail stores end of 2013.
Like many upon many Kickstarter you are investing into a new product direct to the manufacturer, that way we can create more of the line we have intended and for your investment you get kitted out with more great stuff. Enable us to make these and continue to make these and more for years to come . Kickstarter has enabled us to create and invest more in the Pro Studio line thanks to many upon many backers investment (pledges). This crowd sourcing fund has enabled us to have this dedicated division now for the community. Were we hope to make much more great quality goods at a great value price.
There was a time were you got great quality at a great value. We are trying to bring that back and gear it up!

Thinking I might throw in a pledge for this one. I am getting fed up of buying cheap, nasty brushes that only last a few weeks or rigorous painting. I also want to see G&G thrive, you had some great ideas for those game boards so hopefully we can see them soon as well!

That's great and makes sense. You have been making paint brushes for a while, then? You're certain that your abilities are up to those of established brush makers (such as W&N)?
