I hope they don't change cadians any time soon.

I didn't see anything wrong with the current Tau line either. They all looked sweet and fairly timeless.

Krieg! What a hole...

I like the fact that they've put leaders on foot that aren't Etherals.

The bundle for is the same army used in the White Dwarf battle report.

I understand that, but it's a terrible army and not competitive at all...nobody who actually plays would ever want it, especially given that it offers no discount. Only competitive tourney players would drop 800 bucks on a single purchase of models, and none of those people are going to want three fexes, four warrior broods, and a bunc of zoanthropes

Yeah, its not like they had the Sky Ray and Hammerhead all in one box at the same price as a hammerhead for the past 8 years......oh wait.....they did. What is interesting is how the hammerhead being included in the Sky Ray box was $42-$48 ish dollars but the new packaging that includes the Sky Ray in the Hammerhead kit cost $60. Must be the new Fine box

Well, I'm surprised about GW's pace to provide new army releases.
Tau is not one of my favorite armies and I see it more from the opponent point of view. I guess that Tau will be shootier than ever.

Another thing I've noticed is that GW sells armies used in battle reports, here Tau and Nids. Not a bad idea. But it would be better for such bundles to give some sort of discount.

The first thing I noticed is the fact that I think the broadside base is bigger than the old one, which means that GW has rendered all of the old broadside models effectively obsolete.

I was going to get some new Tau allies.

Then I saw the price.

Screw that, I'll buy some broken broadsides and make me some orky conversions with some grot firewarriors to back em up

I was under the impression that all old GW models are legal as they were sold (in this case with the smaller base), so therefore your model is still good, and possibly at a slight advantage because of the size.

The new Pathfinders seem to be great fans of MC Hammer. Well, they are still among the better looking miniatures of that release. The new Broadside would be ok for half, or perhaps two thirds of the price
but for 40€ i am not going to buy any. Once again a rather meh release. I still wait for something that can compare to DE or, to a lesser degree, BA.

I like the new models, they're pretty cool. The Army isn't my cup of tea though.

I'll get the codex, so I can know the ins and outs of the army.

I'm sure my buddy who plays is super excited.

I've never been a fan of Tau in general (not my cup of tea either), however, I do like the new broadside poses. They look much more dynamic and exciting as opposed to the old wooden posture versions.

I dont get why people complain about the Nid /Tau boxes. I mean, it may not be a competitive force but who cares? I am collecting Warhammer for nearly 13years now. Painting armies, sell them, buy new stuff and well collecting my personal army. It's not about having a competitive army and stop buying stuff it's about building up an army worth 20k and more points. If you just play to win you wont buy any boxes except the flyer ones maybe so where's the problem? Many of my customers dont care about the competitive part of their army, they just want a fancy showcase army and maybe play a game once in a while. Sure, the tournament scene should be supported but not with boxes but with tournaments, campaigns and stuff.

Also regarding the issue of no discounts on the larger bundles, who, in reality, is most likely to be buying whole armies with a big price tag but also a significant price reduction? Its going to be re-sellers and bits traders, rather than "normal" gamers, as the traders can more easily defray the up-front cost against future profit, rather than gamers (especially the key demographic of young gamers) who build up an army gradually.

Also the Riptide and bradsides look fantastic, but I don't have space, damnit... roll on mancave project 2014!

I dig them, and I like the paint scheme used in the photos. I think that goes a long way into their reboot. Some still seem a bit blocky (though maybe they're unchanged), but over all I think much more appealing, to me anyway.

Over £8 for a single magazine.

Sooooo......who's spending 712 dollars on a really cool new Shadowsun Cadre army?

Anyone....anyone?

I do like the Fireblade model, though. He;'s a nice chap, doing his best in trying to find out which of his men dropped their bonding knife upon leaving the dropship.

The Shadowsun Cadre is just for collectors getting an army that has been played in this entirety in a battle report at WD no. 400.

Oh, totally. It's also an easy, good way of scaring newbies about what an army is going to cost them in the end if they want to get into the game.
