Anyway, as far as the most powerful weapon is concerned (I don't count Faith as a weapon, it's more of an inherent ability), I'd have to say it's probably the Chrono-cannon on the Speranza. It has a blast radius equal to or larger than that of the Nova Cannon, and works by shifting electrons in the target area backwards a millisecond so that they become tachyons and cause mutual annihilation events with their past selves.

Meh, considering how the C'Tan screwed them over with that deal of theirs, they had it coming. No one messes with Space Egyptian Robot Zombies IN SPEEEEESH!

I would say that it would be one of the exterminates weapons. (i.e. Virus bombs, Cyclonic torpedoes or Atmospheric incinerator torpedoes)

I know its not imperial, bu the celestial orrery is a voodo doll... for the entire galaxy. IMO cousing 99.9 % of the stars in the galaxy to go supernova is pretty strong, god forbid the orks ever get thier greasy mits on it.

The stronges weapon with official stats that I can think of is either the Vortex Missile or the Warlord Titan's Volcano Cannon. Both have a 10 inch template, both automatically wound, but the Vortex missile cannot be saved against, the volcano cannon still allows inv saves and FnP.

Teh Golden Throne/Astronomicon. Without that the IoM's ships would be lost in the Warp and through that the IoM would not be as strong, if not already destroyed, as it would be now. Of course, that's assuming if the Human Webway wasn't destroyed.

The lasgun, basically circumvents supply problems. Most of these fancy weapon systems like vortex missiles and virus bombs would be so ludicrously expensive and hard to supply.
