I don't feel the need to always clarify my statements in that way, ESPECIALLY when its such an obvious joke, I like to think most people are clever enough to get that. It was meant in jest sure, however even the most inocuous statement backed up with a thousand laughing orcs can end up with:

It's not a FFG product until a small forest has died for the accessories.
It does look like some of the figs (the Eldar grav tank, halfway up the right hand side of the board) might be pretty close if you compare them to the dice. But the spaceships might be a bit small for Gothic.
But then, FFG doesn't seem to worry much about scale, so it's really hard to say....
Tamereth wrote: Really would like some more info on the models. If these are epic / bfg sized will have to buy multiple copies.
If not, will still pick up a copy. Looks like an interesting board game. FFG rarely disappoint.
Even if they are in scale (which I doubt, especially for the ships), that'd still probably be less cost-efficient than just trawling ebay.
Edit: on closer inspection, comparing the titans and ships to the size of the d6s shown, the titans look to be about 2d6 tall and the ships about 3d6 long, much too small for both Epic and BFG.

It looks cool to me and I think that I can find people to play it at my FLGS. FFG's Starcraft game was well regarded so I am not worried that the game mechanics will suck. My primary question now is how many game minis come in the set.
I also had a question about the Ork minis but then I saw this photo on Polyhedron Collider.

The secret to painting a really big army is to keep at it. You can't reach your destination if you never take any steps.

Yeah, after a while all FFG boardgames start to feel kinda same-y. None of my group is excited and they're all bigtime GW and FFG fans. On a plus side, FFG games almost never totally suck either, so at some point I am sure some of us will end up buying that.

Looks like a Strike cruiser from that angle. They're not to scale to each other, there is an Iconoclast and Repulsive next to each other, and size difference should be much bigger. It's ok, they're just boardgame pieces and look real good for that.
Looking at the pics, sigh, what I wouldn't give for a real plastic Repulsive. But hey, I'm sure spaceship games won't sell...

H.B.M.C. wrote: I don't think they're meant to be in scale. These are not miniatures. They're boardgame pieces. Otherwise the Helbrute is bigger than a Hive City.
There are multiple scales: Space ship, Titan and vehicle. Battle barge, Repulsive and Eldar battleship are not horribly out of scale. Don't have an Ork battleship for comparison.
Phantom and Warlord are pretty close, but the Gargant seems a bit large although Gargants can be pretty much any size. Helbrute to truck seems pretty huge....

They're abstractions, that's like complaining that the Axis & Allies game pieces are not to scale. These most certainly shouldn't be considered models, unless you consider Risk dudes models.

I would assume that because the other race's small ships are escorts, the SM ship is not a strike cruiser, but a Gladius or the like.
"By this point I'm convinced 100% that every single race in the 40k universe have somehow tapped into the ork ability to just have their tech work because they think it should."

Marines have Battle barge and strike cruiser. Chaos has Repulsive grand cruiser and Iconoclast escort. Eldar have a Void Stalker battleship and an escort ship.
