It's not a quote per se, but there was once a week of Matt Ward love that I found hilarious.

Didn't we do a year where we all professed our love for him on Valentine's day? Complete with sparkly avatars and signature banners and everything?

On the other end, I heard an urban legend of sorts. At a GD tourney maybe back around 98-99, during the final match, a player was taking way too long in his movement phase. Allegedly staring at the table for several minutes before making any moves.

His opponent didn't care for this and allegedly placed an innapropriate item on the table top... one that could be followed with 'indecent exposure' charges.

Anyone else ever hear of this?? Any validity?

I did read in White Dwarf way back when about how some players would pre-measure by memorising the length of their forearm and reaching across the table a lot. Maybe it was the same thing here? After all, if there's one body part the average male will have memorised the size of.....

"The 75mm gun is firing. The 37mm gun is firing, but is traversed round the wrong way. The Browning is jammed. I am saying "Driver, advance." and the driver, who can't hear me, is reversing. And as I look over the top of the turret and see twelve enemy tanks fifty yards away, someone hands me a cheese sandwich."

There were a bunch of great ones that spawned from a thread I drunkenly started at 1 in the morning one day, the infamous "manliest tank in the universe" thread.

http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/0/498612.page

A good summary of how ridiculous the thread got

"Sector Imperialis: 25mm and 40mm Round Bases (40+20) 26€ (Including 32 skulls for basing) " GW design philosophy in a nutshell

Hilarious thing about that is that it started because the OP just copy and pasted the name from forge world, I thought it was funny to keep typing it in all caps every time you said it and bam, a legend is born

But you never correctly answered the great question of life. CRASSUS ARMOURED ASSAULT TRANSPORT will find a way, but what to put inside of it?

Also, does anyone know where I can buy Space Corridors and Industrial Towers? I have seen many old references here on Dakka to Space Corridors and Industrial Towers, but so far I have noticed a horrible lack of good Space Corridor terrain.
